    new kia at 35k>

I think Kia has really hit a home run styling wise. Who’s the designer, I wonder? The interior is nicely executed too (though somewhat spare), with its echoes of the exterior theme, and some real buttons. Looking forward to seeing the first one driving around here.

Elon Musk Discussion - Tesla Brand Damage

Tomasz Wilinski 🇦🇺🇵🇱🇪🇺🚀 @TWilinski On Monday my council should start to build 5 SC in the Glenelg suburb. All are scrapped now according to the local Tesla Supercharger Team. In Adelaide (1,2M population) tesla sales growth from 2020 fast. ZERO new SCs since 2016. Very unhappy with that...

Elon Musk Discussion - Tesla Brand Damage

How? Magic? With noone to pay the bills and do the work? Tesla's sustained dedication to the supercharger network has been instrumental in selling its cars, and present behavior is threatening that reputation, aided by a dearth of useful communication.

    Model 2

A B-Segment CUV would be fantastic for Asia and Europe. But buyers in that market are a lot more price-sensitive. Is cheaper computing hardware in the cards?

    CyberCab / Tesla Robotaxi Discussion

Jumping into this conversation, because I've been thinking that the market for public transport pods (aka smaller buses) following a largely predetermined route could be interesting for a licensee to serve. Single occupation vehicles just won't solve the challenge of large-scale people movement...

    2024; Tesla's Tipping Point?

It depends if Tesla's mission of hastening the transition to sustainable mobility still is a thing. Driving down the cost of EVs' main component, ie. the battery pack, needs continued attention and investment. Is Tesla not doing the hard and seemingly unglamorous problem solving anymore? That...

Out of Spec doing a Cybertruck vs. R1T vs. Lightning vs. Silverado EV cross country race. Who wins?

Whatever happened to the race? I can't find anything on how it ended.

These numbers fail the plausibility check. Look again and think.

    Coronavirus

Thank you. Just picking out KY, OR, and UT, all with similar (small) populations and near identical testing rates is quite revelatory.

    Coronavirus

The FT just ran a very interesting article concerning the two adjacent northern Italian regions of Lombardy and Veneto, with the latter doing markedly better seemingly because they tried to keep as many people tested positive at home rather than infecting the hospital staff. Quotes: ... As...

    Coronavirus

Sean Wagner said: ↑ The last lockdown paces the nation. This is not the time for "feral" government. I can try. So many variables. It presupposes a population still widely susceptile to the disease. And it also presupposes that somewhat effective measures on the individual level are possible...

    Coronavirus

Without speaking to the post at hand, I'm sorry to say the FT's Alphaville section is - and I mean it just so - among the rabid, positively gushing, highly biased purveyors of anti-Tesla blurbs. They will dig far and wide to "unearth" just about anything that sounds right to them, while being...

    Coronavirus

I know that feeling! Today it was my cherished giant Soissons beans that go into soups and chilis and what-have-yous. Previously a specific liquid soap, hand sanitizer [finally after weeks and weeks without], and of course toilet paper. There must have been contingency plans for just such...

    Coronavirus

No first world country tolerates the regulatory jungle that has allowed US opioid addiction toe flourish. It's that simple. I like these rule-of-thumb crutches when it comes to validating data. Worth keeping in mind. Just so. The relative cost of preparing for a bad-case scenario applies...

    Market politics

    Or rephrased very short-term thinking.
