Got mine installed recently, and it's on the medium setting. Smooth like butter in fast drives, and no issues on gravel roads.

That's a devil advocate argument. Here is a quite good summary of what could have been done better for better optics: Folks just want to be on "their own side" rather than "the right side" of history.
