Refreshed model S Plaid dashboard noise

OMG! That totally fixed mine! I used stick on felt pads on the screw head, but same idea. I was about to start taking the dash apart! Thank you!! I also fixed the rear seat noise my wrapping the hoops that they latch to with blue painter's tape. (less sticky nasty than electrical tape)...

    Whistling Noise Above 40mph

All I can say is that it is not supposed to be like that. Sounds like wind getting in somewhere. Could be the doors. The side windows bit closing enough or being out of alignment with the seals. The service center will know what to look for.

Plaid Drag Racing - Not such a great night

The end of my night, it was 45, but started in the mid to high 50's. Yes, losing traction in a Plaid is exactly like that, hesitation, squirly, especially on the front, sometimes, you hear clunking sounds (brakes slowing the wheels down) and general roughness. Very different than what I was...

Steering Wheel Heat - barely warm?

They replaced my wheel and it’s better. But yes. It’s still not uniform like the model 3 was. And not as hot. But it’s warm enough now. I guess it’s just another Tesla quirk.

Steering Wheel Heat - barely warm?

Tesla replaced my steering wheel and it’s much better now

Plaid Drag Racing - Not such a great night

Yes and no, 41 PSI. but so was the other Plaid.

Plaid Drag Racing - Not such a great night

See pics. The slowest pass, I launched too early and it fell on it's face. I felt what seemed to be tire spin on the other two launches. I'm super competitive when it comes to racing and with the other Plaid running 9.2-9.3, I was bummed. I used to run 11.3 @119-120 in my 22 Model 3...

Plaid Drag Racing - Not such a great night

So I went to my local drag strip and ran the 23 plaid for the first time. I have to say I was quite disappointed. It ran: 9.4 @ 151 9.6 @ 151 (Left too soon) 9.5 @ 149 I’m running the Michigan Pilot Sport 4s on the 21’s It was 45 degrees at the end. And it did feel like traction was an...

Steering Wheel Heat - barely warm?

So, I just purchased a 2023 Model S with the steering wheel and I tried the heat today and it is barely lukewarm and not all the way around the wheel. I only feel it at 10 and 2 and 9 and 3 positions. I just sold my 2022 Model 3 Performance the wheel heater in that car was like a branding...

2022 Model 3 Performance trade up to 2023 Model S Plaid - handling differences

Thank you for the input. One clarification requested. If you use the car's power by flooring it from a stop, you ruin the suspension?? I can see wearing tires out, but suspension? What exactly happens?

2022 Model 3 Performance trade up to 2023 Model S Plaid - handling differences

Didn’t really notice in head space. It feels wider. Left left arm is further from the door and I can’t reach the passenger door pocket. I did notice that I wanted to lower the seat more and couldn’t so maybe it is closer to the ceiling. But I’m not that tall so hasn’t been an issue.

2022 Model 3 Performance trade up to 2023 Model S Plaid - handling differences

Well, it's done. Sold the Model 3 P and got the Plaid! I like it, but it does give up some things from the M3P. But gives you a lot more. I am waiting 500 miles before really getting into it, just in case, even though there is no break in period, at least the tires and brakes have to seat...

Tesla Wall Connector control via Tesla App 4.23

I tried to connect my Wall Connector to my app and it failed at registering it, I guess into my account. The support button shows up, but only takes me to the FAQ that does not address this. The first step was scanning the QR code and then connect to its wifi and then it did a firmware...
