Paint chipping rear door sill edge M3LR

When I bought the M3LR three years ago I was hoping that the front mud flaps and bit of protective film around the rear door sills would protect them from Winter grit sandblasting in the GTA. Nope. The other side's not so bad as the door is more flush with the body. Tesla won't touch it, so...

    Rentals charging at Superchargers?

Around 8pm Tuesday a line of about 10 Tesla's appeared at Sherway Gardens, GTA, Ontario, waiting to get a spot. All the drivers had reflective gear, some with rental logos (Hertz was one iirc). And a van was waiting to take the drivers away. This site is crowded and slow enough without these...

    Ontario Insurance. BelairDirect?

So any experience with BelairDirect in Ontario? Have had Intact Insurance for the last two years ($1200/yr for a 2021 m3lr) but this year they've boosted that to over $1800. Belair has just quoted me $1200. My son has used BelairDirect in the past but made no claims so don't really know if...

    Trip from Toronto to S.C.

Well that was easy with our M3LR. And Hilton Head, S.C. experienced an early spring mid Feb. when we were there. Lovely trip all in all. Used A Better Route Planner ABRP to plan the route and charging stops as Tesla's tended to give me longer drives and charging times. We're in our 70s and...

Do USA Superchargers charge Canadian Teslas in US or Can$ ?

Heading South for a few weeks next month and have a different/better credit card for purchases in US$. I'll put it on my Tesla account if Tesla doesn't insist on doing the $ conversion itself because it's a Canadian car. ? Thanks.

    Weird mirror folding behavior

My parking garage is 3 levels underground. My space is at the bottom. When entering at the NW corner, the mirrors fold, then unfold shortly thereafter. When I loop around and reach the NW corner again, they fold and unfold again. This repeats until I reach the bottom and my parking space. On...

IVY Ontario Enroute Tesla Chademo Innisfill?

So the Ivy chargers with the Tesla Chademo Adapters at this 400 Enroute site near Innisfill have been listed as "offline" forever. Since installation? Not so at the (401) Enroute sites. Anybody know what's going on?

    Flat tire

Arrived up North at the homestead and next day found a flat tire. Far from Mobile Service and it was a side wall penetration so new tire was needed. Only 6000 km on tires so hopefully replacing just the one will work out. And luckily a local dealer even had one in stock. (And we had a second...

How to report a Supercharger problem?

Barrie Bayfield Superchargers #10a&b refused to "lock&load" yesterday. Luckily other chargers worked and later another guy had the same problem with 10a&b, so I knew it wasn't just my car. Today noticed that an error code was available in the Service section of the app, so reported it there and...

12V Battery life in Ontario, Canada, colder areas

How long will the 12V last up here where it's colder (for now, and maybe not out west under a heat dome)? Heard reports of only 3 years but most of those are M3s in SW USA. And heat definitely is hard on them. My last ICE battery up here lasted 9 years ...

    Battery Temperature, Charging, Tesla Nav

Not sure where to ask this .... When using the onboard Nav to navigate to a supercharger, does it account for the energy needed to heat up the battery on the way? Onboard Nav could have access to battery temperature ... Thinking of an overnight coldsoak to -10C, then long highway drive situation.
