Supercharger - Phoenix, AZ - North 19th Avenue

Looks like this site may have been removed from Supercharge.info. Should probably be labeled "under construction".
  2. T

    Supercharger - Mesa, AZ

This site looks to be just about done. All of the fencing and construction equipment has been removed. It did look like there were some panels on the sides of the charging stalls that still needed to be installed. Site isn't powered up yet, plugged in my car just to be sure.

    Supercharger - Mesa, AZ

Looks like one of the other sites in Phoenix is also getting an upgrade to V4. It also needed to be re-trenched. Maybe there's a requirement with the V4 stall upgrade to have bigger conduit run or something? https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/supercharger-phoenix-az-north-19th-avenue.282077/

Supercharger - Phoenix, AZ - North 19th Avenue

Glad to see the new stalls being put up. Can't wait to try out these V4s for the first time. I wonder which will be done first, this site or Mesa?

    Supercharger - Mesa, AZ

So I've never charged at a V4 supercharger before. How do you identify which side you're supposed to park on to charge? They look identical on both sides - though I guess this isn't any different from what we already have haha

    Supercharger - Mesa, AZ

Got some pictures today. Looks like 11/12 stalls have been mounted. Still using V3 cabinets with the v4 stalls. Looking back at some old pictures I had of the V3 chargers, the wire they pulled through for this reinstall looks thicker. Might explain why they needed to re-run the conduit. But...

    Supercharger - Mesa, AZ

Wow those V4's have a much larger liquid reservoir than the V3s. What's the purple wire for? Black, red green make sense, maybe purple is a bundle of comms wire? Looks great though, can't wait to get charging - if the site ever opens based on the current state of the supercharging team.
  8. T

    Supercharger - Mesa, AZ

Concrete was poured for the stalls, and new boxes on pallets arrived.
  9. T

    Supercharger - Mesa, AZ

Conduit is finished and concrete has been poured. There are 3 pallets here which I assume are the new stalls. It looks like the V3 equipment is still connected on site.
  10. T

    Supercharger - Mesa, AZ

Stopped by here yesterday, looked like possibly new conduit had been laid. Still no new charging pedestals to be seen.
  11. T

    Supercharger - Mesa, AZ

Anyone from supercharge.info available to update this site from open to under construction?
  12. T

Supercharger - Phoenix, AZ - East Camelback Road

Looks like Tesla has an error on their site. Says 12 Urban, and 4 V2. It's been a while since I've been to this location, but I do believe this is incorrect.
  13. T

    Supercharger - Mesa, AZ

That's great! I'll have to swing by!
  14. T

Supercharger - Glendale, AZ - West Northern Avenue

As of today, yes this is the only site in AZ that has MagicDocks installed. It did open recently, it'll be interesting to see if upcoming sites will also have MagicDocks installed too.

    Arizona Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

There's been a bit of a lull in supercharger progress over the past two months. Just a bunch of sites with permits right now. Last year was a big boom for the state but things seem to be a bit frozen now. Anyone heard of anything going on to make things go slower?
  16. T

    Supercharger - Goodyear, AZ

Drove past today, still covered with blue plastic.
  17. T

    Supercharger - Glendale, AZ

I honestly have no idea. I think they just really shove it in there, and the shape is so wrong that it holds. I should've taken a picture. So strange that I've seen it there several times. Sometimes there are two that are upside down at a time too.
  18. T

    Supercharger - Glendale, AZ

I've visited this location several times since it opened up and for some reason people at this charger have a problem of docking the NACS connector upside down. It just seems like you'd have to go out of your way to put it back upside down on the supercharger? I've never seen it happen...
  19. T

Supercharger - Big Bear Lake, CA (LIVE 28 Oct 2023, 6 V3 stalls)

Wow, 6 stalls? That's the smallest install I've seen in the US in a while!
  20. T

    Supercharger - Sparks, NV

Thank you for the pictures! Interesting there's no center pin. The documentation looks like there should be one present for the kV connector. Also based on the scratches on the side of the connector, it looks like there are two depths when plugging it in. 400v VS 1000v maybe? Cable looks...

Supercharger - Quartzsite, AZ - Main Event Lane

Shade is 100% needed at the AZ supercharger locations. Not just for the people/cars but for the charging stalls too. I've seen the V3's overheat on the super hot summer days and it's pretty annoying.
  22. T

Supercharger - Glendale, AZ - West Northern Avenue

I counted 16 yesterday. They're in a bunch of different orientations which should help EVs with different placement of the charging port. Some were pull in, some back in, some pull through - really decent setup.
  23. T

Supercharger - Glendale, AZ - West Northern Avenue

Can confirm that 5849 northern Ave has a supercharger that's almost finished with magic docks. We'll need a mod to add a new thread and put a pin in the supercharge.info map!
  24. T

    Supercharger - Goodyear, AZ

    Nothing as of last weekend.
  25. T

    Supercharger - Goodyear, AZ

Visited here the other day. Looks like there are a lot of damaged shells by the supercharger cabinets. The transformer also wasn't in place yet. There are a total of 6 supercharger v3 cabinets here, I'm not sure why this is only a 12 stall site. It could be a 24 stall site if the chargers...
  26. T

    Supercharger - Wikieup, AZ

Drove through this last weekend, didn't see any signs of construction.
  27. T

    Supercharger - Goodyear, AZ

Huh I wonder why the supercharger to cabinet ratio is off here? Are they planning for higher output at each stall?
  28. T

    Supercharger - Goodyear, AZ

Stopped by here today. Looks like there are 6 supercharger cabinets. Maybe this will be a 24 stall site?
  29. T

Supercharger - Quartzsite, AZ - Main Event Lane

Gotta be that guy, the charger he's using in the video is a V2 and not a V3.
  30. T

    Supercharger - Chandler, AZ

All stalls are now open. This site is already busy!
  31. T

    Supercharger - Quartzsite, AZ

That's understandable, I just wish they'd de-rate rather than fully killing the charging session. Had to swap spots a few times to get enough charge to get back home. Unplugging and replugging didn't work, it'd immediately throw an error.
  32. T

Supercharger - Quartzsite, AZ - Main Event Lane

Grabbed some drone footage yesterday. Looks like there are two pull-thru stalls for cars that are towing and no magic docks on the stalls.
  33. T

    Supercharger - Quartzsite, AZ

Seemed like everyone was having issues at this site today. Stalls would start to charge and then fail a few minutes into the charge cycle. Charging handles felt pretty hot, I wonder if they overheated?
  34. T

    Supercharger - Chandler, AZ

Currently charging, working well. No fee is showing up in the car yet.
  35. T

    Supercharger - Glendale, AZ - N 59th Ave

Glad to see this! Could have used it when I was up in that area with single digit SOC a week ago!
  36. T

Supercharger - Quartzsite, AZ - Main Event Lane

EVI's installs usually go really quick. I wonder how long this 88 stall one will take?
  37. T

    Arizona Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

Not related to this charger but I'm not too sure where else to ask. Do you happen to know what's going on with the Rivian charger being built in Biltmore? Construction seems to have been abandoned several months ago.
  38. T

    Supercharger - Glendale, AZ

Got any additional details about it's location? I could head over that way and see if there's something going on.
  39. T

    Arizona Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

All the more reason to get that CCS retrofit!
  40. T

    Supercharger - Indio, CA (LIVE, 36 V3 + 8 V2 + 2 Urban stalls)

Expansion at this site looks really good and is very needed. The parking lot is now paved, all stalls appear to be in place. Not powered up yet though.
  41. T

    Supercharger - Dateland, AZ

I can't say I've ever been to Dateland, but maybe it's time for a trip to check it out?
  42. T

    Supercharger - Tempe, AZ

Looks like two people got in a fight at this location. A bunch of cops are here. Anybody have any details?
  43. T

    Supercharger - Glendale, AZ

Looks like they installed plexiglass on the chargers so you can only grab the charging cable from the correct side. Other note - I saw two charing cables put back upside down? I had never seen that before and for some reason there were two? Super odd.

    Arizona Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

Hey everyone, Tesla is doing their supercharger location voting again! Be sure to vote for Kayenta AZ! https://www.tesla.com/supercharger-voting

Supercharger - Phoenix, AZ - E Mayo Blvd

Wow this location is cheap, only $.17 per kWh all day. Wonder why it's so cheap in comparison to the others near it.
  46. T

Supercharger - Quartzsite, AZ - Main Event Lane

I know it's not in the plans, but for a site of that size they really need to have a dedicated bathroom.
  47. T

    Supercharger - Quartzsite, AZ

You can override the 80% limit
  48. T

    Supercharger - Tempe, AZ

The fancy new in-car supercharger availability graphs show this location is basically at 100% capacity from 8AM until about 11PM. This site really should have been at least double the size.
  49. T

Supercharger - Quartzsite, AZ - Main Event Lane

I wonder why they didn't just expand their current site. Looks like they could probably accommodate many more on their lot if they extended it closer to the road.
