Five Year Review -- Tesla Model 3 Dual Motor AWD

Actually having my annual Rock 'n Roll Party in a few weeks that has been going on for decades so if you are in the DC area stop in -- no Tesla talk though!

Five Year Review -- Tesla Model 3 Dual Motor AWD

Agree that there are some very good Tesla reviews on YouTube. I was referring to TV and newspaper stories, as it seems some of their tech writers have never driven a Tesla. As I live in DC, I would say some of the worst Tesla stories have been in the Washington Post -- their stories never put...

Five Year Review -- Tesla Model 3 Dual Motor AWD

Apols, but never did any complex data stats on the battery. Did notice a dropoff of approximately 4 to 5%, after 9-12 months, then it evened out, and now after five years it is around 8% drop in the stated Range, but that seems to be balanced by greater efficiency even though my driving habits...

Five Year Review -- Tesla Model 3 Dual Motor AWD

Sent out a Five-Year Assessment of my Model 3 for some friends, so thought I should also post here -- the photo shows it with my 1975 MGB and 1998 BMW 528i a few weeks ago... There has been a great deal of misinformation said and written about EVs in general and Telsa in particular during the...

Middle of the Lane and Brake Lights Issues

So, per the replies, does that mean that you do not experience the car drifting from the middle of the lane on highway turns? Just wondering if normal or something that I need seek a fix via Tesla.

Middle of the Lane and Brake Lights Issues

Just wondering if others are having Middle of the Lane and Brake Light issues with FSD and FSD Beta. I have a 2018 AWD Dual Motor Model 3 and have had FSD from the start and have been in the FSD Beta program since 10.2 last September, now of course on 10.12.2. My issue is that the car drifts too...

Huge update, V11...thoughts? and any hidden features found yet??

Totally agree that this is a step backwards! Some important stuff is two or three clicks away. Confusing and not intuitive. And they still haven't figured out how to put a simple odometer on the top screen. Not sure who they were trying to impress as my 20 year old daughter thinks it just...

Got 2021.36.5.2 But Now 2021.36.5.1 is Downloading

Can confirm the above comments. I too got downgraded from 10.3 FSD 2021.36.5.2 to 2021.36.5.1, but have now upgraded to FSD 10.3.1 with 2021.36.5.3. And yes, I also panicked somewhat when given 2021.36.5.1 as my Safety Score went to 94 due to the malfunctioning of the FSD software with false...

Anyone else dislike the new UI?

Agree, I can only assume that this UI is getting ready for a general FSD release, but for sure it is not pretty as is at the moment. The speed font needs to be bigger. Also, not sure why the Energy Percentage/Mileage is now dark grey instead of Green, looks ugly, and of course it would be...

"Acceleration Boost" option, discussion as to which models and how much quicker

I would pay $2,000 for longer range, the M3 Dual Motor AWD at 4.4 is already fast. If they can make it go faster with the same engines and battery, and a software upgrade, why not make it go further? After all, in the cold weather, we only get 80 percent of the range anyhow. Just a thought!

    Traditional Odometer

    That is a good idea!

    Traditional Odometer

Yes, single carburetor, the MGB engine made it to 130,000 miles so added the dual carburetors when I had the engine rebuilt a year ago by the same foreign car mechanic friends who stored it for 14 years when I was overseas -- runs better than new. As for the Model 3, agree, best car out there...

    Traditional Odometer

Per the requests, the 100,000-mile MGB party was organized to coincide with my friend’s annual carriage house apartment party in Brooklyn in the summer of 1983 – a fairly wild bash that included his rooftop where we almost lost a few folks over the years with Nassau Yellowbirds being served. My...

    Traditional Odometer

Okay, had my Model 3 AWD Dual Motor for a year now and no issues -- just a great car along with the software updates and the Tesla vision. However, the Model 3 is missing a traditional Odometer -- the one that tells one how many actual miles the car has gone (in tenths of a mile) in real time...
