Subsidy, we are experts in that already. Forced laber, we have child labor in the south. What advantage does China have aside from our lack of interest?

The whole China this, China that agrenda is similar to tactics of the fossil fuel companies. If China is subsidizing, why can’t we? Weird. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/06/01/opinion/clean-energy-solar-wind.html

Induced demand by artificially lowering the cost of a product and slowing the development of alternatives... we do that with fossil fuels in America and we seem to be ok with it. Weird.

Our stuff tend to be designed for single use then discard the 'waste'. It's great we are looking into reclamation as a way to improve overall efficiency. Las Vegas has been reclaiming waste water by doing some cleaning then sending it back into Lake Mead, allowing us to draw more water (think...

That will never happen because we are dependent on China's coal plants to get our cheap imports. And, the member states don't want inflation in their country. There is a saying "When you point your finger, there are 3 pointing back at you." Try it. ;)

I don't live in CA but I think Californians would prefer that energy price at that time be highly discounted instead of exported for pennies on the dollar or solar fields shut down.

Model 3 SR+ LFP Battery Range, Degradation, etc Discussion

Regen is not battery capacity dependent, it is BMS dependent. Agree that 100% is not true 100% but the car can also be set to allow no regen above 90%. See case of Powerwall that will no charge battery until down to 60%. It is all software.

Correction: LFP not immune to higher degradation at 100%. Better than NMC but still higher degradation.

Totally agree but Model 3 has it's surprise too. Last month, I packed some stuff to my friend's house. It was amazing how much stuff you can fit with the rear seat down. That rear deck makes you think you have less space. I do wish they modify the Model 3 into a hatch back... maybe that'd...
