When will the FSD trial start rolling out?

Me too. Completed the upgrade tonight and got the email about the 30 day trial. Will try it out on my way to work in the morning.

When will the FSD trial start rolling out?

I guess I still don't understand. So cars with FSD are always running an older version of the software? What happens if someone with 2024.8.9 tried to subscribe to FSD through the app? They wouldn't be able to use it until FSD catches up to their software version, or does their software...

All US Cars capable of FSD will be enabled for one month trial this week

I'm in the same situation with my 2020 model 3. It updated to 2024.8.7 a day or two before the free trial was announced. Evidently FSD is not compatible with 2024.8 so we have to wait for FSD to catch up and maybe we will get the trial later. Seems a lot of people are on 2024.8

When will the FSD trial start rolling out?

Sorry, that wasn't the best chart to post. That was number of vehicles upgrading to that version of the software each day. Here is a better chart to post. It is the current software version of every car using Teslafi. (Of course only a small percentage of Tesla owners use Teslafi, so look at...

When will the FSD trial start rolling out?

So maybe it is just random (bad) luck that some of us got the upgrade to 2024.8.7 right before this FSD trial was announced. Teslafi shows a sizable number of vehicles on 2024.8.7. (Blue line, while 2024.3.10 is the green line).

All US Cars capable of FSD will be enabled for one month trial this week

What does 24 branches mean? My 2020 model 3 is on 2024.8.7. Does that mean mid-April I might get the FSD trial?

When will the FSD trial start rolling out?

Not just NM and TN, I'm in Indiana with 2024.8.7 on my 2020 Model 3 LR

When will the FSD trial start rolling out?

I'm in the same boat as you. 2020 M3 LR USS. 2024.8.7. My car updated to 2024.8.7 one day before the free trial was announced. For reasons I don't understand, FSD is only available on 2024.3.x so we are out of luck for now. Our cars have upgraded beyond what works for FSD, so I guess we...

All US Cars capable of FSD will be enabled for one month trial this week

So you went backwards to an earlier version? I'm currently at 2024.8.7 so I'm hopeful I will go to 2024.3.x to get the trial.

Me too. My 2020 model 3 updated to 2024.8.7 last night. No notification of a FSD trial.

    NEW Model 3 Highland review!

Tire Rotation [recommendations on where to get tires rotated?]

Agreed. I have had my Model 3 for three years and take it to my local tire shop where I have always purchased tires. There are many Teslas on the road near me. My tire shop is very familiar with how to lift a Tesla (they have the lift pucks) and what torque setting the lug nuts should be set...

    NEW Model 3 Highland review!

So how does that work in Italy? Cars entering the roundabout have the right of way and cars circling the roundabout have to stop to let them in? Seems like traffic would come to a stop in the roundabout, blocking all the entrances to the roundabout and causing everything to come to a standstill.

Tesla 3 sounds like plane taking off. Normal or not?

My car is early 2020 and doesn't have the heat pump but makes this noise.
  23. danarcha

Tesla 3 sounds like plane taking off. Normal or not?

Sounds normal to me. When the temperature is hot and the car is inside a closed garage and I open a door to retrieve something, the car will make this noise for a little while. The car is three years old and has always made that noise.

Looks like they are removing stalks from the 3/Y

Taking your eyes off the road to fumble with a touch screen IS much slower than reaching for a physical lever, knob, stick, stalk etc. And, while you are doing that you are not looking at the road!! It's a matter of BOTH not not being able to change directions quickly and not seeing what is in...

Looks like they are removing stalks from the 3/Y

In both your examples, you can do it by touching something physical without taking your eyes off the road, just like using stalks. You have missed the point. The problem with removing the stalks is you have to take your eyes off the road and fiddle around with a touch screen.

Upcoming Tesla Update (2023.12) to include steering wheel customizations and more

Yes you can disable the gear shift chimes. I can't tell you where to find that setting however because I used another new feature to turn them off. Use the new search feature (at the top of the main screen when you touch the car icon in the bottom left) and enter "chime" into the search box...

Your question reminds me of Sister Gertrude, one of my grade school teachers. She was a mean nun who taught us religion at St. Anthony Grade School. Whenever we would ask her if we HAD to so something, (e.g. Sister do we have to do all this homework? Sister do we have to go to mass every...

Typical Range Degradation on M3 LR?

Based on what I have read on this board, Tesla doesn’t give you a new battery. They can give you a refurbished one that has range >70% of what your vehicle’s original range was. That’s not nothing but don’t expect a brand new battery if yours meets the warranty criteria for replacement.

Reuters: "Tesla readies revamped Model 3 with project 'Highland' -sources" [projected 3rd quarter 2023]

It might help the resell value of your car. I for one don’t like the new front end and missing fog lights. Those are just cosmetic concerns, but if it has a yoke or stalkless controls, I would really be reluctant to buy the new version. A 2022 with the old design would be desirable to those...

Social Media and Posts on here starting to give me anxiety.

I have had my M3 since May 2020. Delivery experience was great, the car has been great, and my one interaction with service has been great. My pickup experience was not typical because I picked up in Chicago (1.5 hour drive from my house) during COVID. I did not see any Tesla employees...

Charging at work, two spots, one "EV Handicap Accessible"

That's it? Just "ADA accessible" on the charging sign. Is there a wheel chair symbol painted on the ground? To me, this is like the extra wide stalls in public restrooms: save it for the handicapped unless it's the only option and you really have to go.

Raise your hand if you feel forgotten on the trunk camera harness recall

    M3 RWD Delivery Today [01.26.2023]

This advice might not be popular but I wouldn't look at a car as an investment. I would buy the one that suits my needs best and make sure I can afford it. After making the purchase, I wouldn't stress out about resale value. I would take good care of it, keep it for several years, and expect...

    M3 RWD Delivery Today [01.26.2023]

I also have a 2020 and my car uses sensors to display how many inches away obstacles are when I'm parking. Are you saying newer cars don't do this? I do not have Homelink. It blinks and beeps for 5-10 seconds then closes. It just started doing this. The first two weeks after the Holiday update, it immediately closed without all the blinking and beeping.
