Marginal update. Fisker have been utterly incompetent so far. Almost radio silence. They messed up a collection because they didn't tell me when they were planning to collect the car - so I wasn't home! In the mean time, I've put a deposit down on an Audi eTron 55 Quattro black edition.

Right... Back on topic..! Just had phone call from Santander. The vehicle inspection report has found in my favour. There were a 'litany of errors and issues' with the software. They are going to support me handing the car back, although there is no timescales as yet.

If what happened to me happens then you could be without a car quite quickly. I was locked out of the car on the 8th March at work. Fob didn't work, neither did the NFC chip which is supposed to be the backup and neither did phone access. car was literally dead, no idea. What I should have...

Loooong series of emails later... Fisker have been pushed to sort the issues by Forza and Santander. New email address has been set up for UK Fisker owners as the european team is now looking after the UK support element. Speaking with Santander, they're saying that Fisker have had their...

Quite possibly. Obviously when Fisker paused production, it was initially for 6 weeks. Magna sent out an view for the remainder of the year which showed no further Fisker production in their outlook. That coupled with the loss of 500 staff as a result.

This is it. I have said and will say again, the Fisker Ocean from a hardware and build point of view is very well put together. As you would expect from a Magna built car. The software is woeful and they don't have the size in the software dev team to get it up to scratch quickly enough. The...

This is exactly my worry. I've paid £60k for a car that has features that don't work properly, let alone those that it's supposed to have but doesn't because they launched the car without them to get them out there, relying on 'OTA' updates to deliver that functionality. I want the car to be...

So, had the inspection today. Few of the gremlins appeared but by and large the car behaved itself for the most part, which was slightly disappointing. But alas, it was what it was. Now we wait.

I've seen that thread. If Fisker make it, then that's an absolute bargain. However I don't think they will, at least not in their current guise. Interestingly, of all the staff that have been let go, it's mainly sales, some tech and marketing etc. When I spoke to the tech a couple weeks back...

That for me is why it's alarming. My M3P was brilliant for regen braking. Harness everything. Never experienced anything like that so when it happened and then happens all the time, it's bad, scary, alarming, frustrating and frightening dependent on when it does happen. I'm constantly having...

Actually - just remembered, there's more...! Bluetooth connectivity has a mind of it's own at the moment. Yep - that was me. Thought it would be good fun to come back here and give you guys an update on my Fisker ownership experience. This is going to be a long read - stick around! I'm curious on this one. I've gone through the exact same process however, I know that I'm considerably over on my annual mileage, around 1000 miles over. Whatever, bro. I didn't realise you were the authority around here. I was just trying to shed a bit of light on what is a relatively unknown new brand that could well have a bright future. As a new make, people are interested in how the thing runs, works, etc. No need to be smart about it

Yeh i did. But here's the difference... I went from a 9 year old VW Passat CC that had 140k miles on it to a Tesla M3P. It was game changingly different. The car was in a different league. This time around, I'm comparing like for like. It's a mid-premium EV that is designed similarly to the...

I did just that with my M3P. I'd driven a Model S P85D in 2016 and was sold on Tesla from that point on. Saw a M3 in the flesh a little while later after ordering and it just helped confirm the decision.

I have made a slight change. Gone down from the Extreme to the Ultra on my pre-order. Finances just not where i need them to be for the Extreme but also, there's barely any difference in the spec between them. Can't justify the extra £££ on the Solar roof.

T This is one of my big bug bears. You have slots and spaces for the pumps. You have space for the air/water supply. It's not hard, there is ample space for a small charger capable of blasting out 50kw.

Interesting thoughts, thanks for the opinion. Nice to hear from someone who's seen one in the flesh. Considering you're in an MY, how would you say it rates spacewise internally against that? I wanted a bigger car overall, including cabin space so hoping the Fisker does feel bigger internally...

That's interesting. I'm looking to go to the Fisker because I want a bigger car than the M3P. Would you say the internal cabin and boot space is comparable to an M3P, bigger/smaller?
