    [UK] 2024.14.x

The groundwork is there now. Speed limit can already nag in every vehicle. They just have to alter the settings to suit the law.

    [UK] 2024.14.x

Yes I get that. Would be nice if just for once Tesla implemented something which was a useful safety feature instead of more farting beach buggy games!

    [UK] 2024.14.x

Speed limit chime. Is that really the best that Tesla can do? My 2012 Prius did that. Every car since (apart from my Tesla) had a proper limiter.

    [UK] 2024.14.x

…and no real news of a speed limiter. Legal requirement for all vehicles as of 7/7/24 if I understand correctly

I just open a web browser page at their software tracker. I don’t get any notifications from Teslafi of course.

    [UK] 2024.14.x

Our cars are a couple days apart in age. VIN’s are probably close too. My setting for updates is advanced and I share data with Tesla. Both cars are pre-heatpump 2020 model 3 LR. No idea why we get early updates but we do. I’ve had them before they show up on Teslafi. I’ve had 3 in one week...

    [UK] 2024.14.x

First real drive on 18.9 and AP is definitely further from the kerb I cannot understand why with software updates this always happens. The first point releases shove the car nearer the kerb and later revisions put it back where it should be!

    [UK] Spring Software Update

For those of you having issues after installing updates, don’t forget a 2-button reset cures most things. most people on the forum do one straight after install.

    [UK] 2024.20 Software Update

I’ll be interested to see if this update contains an attempt at a speed limiter as required for new cars by July 7th 2024

    [UK] 2024.14.x

I was as impressed as one can be when I got the car out of the garage using summon just now. The doorway is fairly tight and there is a short, sharp slope it doesn’t like. In the past it has given up either from the start or certainly part way through. Today, straight out, no messing, no...

    Charging anomalies M3 & Zappi

I’m not aware that waking the car is a problem these days. Tesla’s have usually been more reliable than other marques at waking to charge. I still believe that Tesla’s are more sensitive to proximity voltage stability and the root cause is faults in the pilot cable or the plug itself. If you...

Installed, but 2 button reset is having to wait until the dog, sleeping on my lap, wakes up 😂

2024.14.8 downloading now. Teslafi shows a bit of a roll. @AnthonyLR you too? I assume it will just be bug fixes and hope it shifts AP away from the kerb a bit PS. An update on a Sunday is mighty rare for me!

UK: Tesla after-sale experience reviews in UK. What’s your experience?

When I bought In 2020 My nearest SC was close to 100 miles away but I had no cause to use it. as luck would have it they opened one 15 miles away a couple of years ago and I’ve been there several times and had several Ranger visits. Nothing major, parts in stock and my SC is pretty obliging...

    Charging anomalies M3 & Zappi

I think you said Tesla looked at the problem. Using the event log give them a date/timestamp and ask them to do diagnostic for proximity voltage. If it’s 1.9V and stable that’s not the problem. If it’s unstable then it might be the lead or the plug. What has worked for me is to plug in gently...

    Charging anomalies M3 & Zappi

I haven’t had a significant problem with charges dropping out for a while now. Just the odd short one where charging then continues. The prime suspect is the tethered cable or plug. Today I got around to swapping that cable for the one off my V1 Zappi which never missed a beat. I’ll report...

    Charging anomalies M3 & Zappi

Do you get charging interrupted messages from the Tesla app? Check the Zappi event logs to see what’s happening. I’d expect to see charge delayed in them .

    [UK] Spring Software Update

My wife drives so close to the curb that if I could put a finger between a wheel and the curb, it would get squashed. She does however frequently remind me that she has never kerbed a wheel. Bugger!

    [UK] Spring Software Update

I’ll probably get FSD on city streets early and end up with 4 kerbed wheels on day one

    [UK] Spring Software Update

My car tends to get updates early and by and large on Thursday, Friday and even Saturday. I share data with Tesla and s/w downloads are set to advanced. I don’t subscribe to Teslafi or suchlike but I have received updates before they appear on Teslafi.
  29. Dilly

    [UK] Spring Software Update

There is nothing random about updates. They are always rolled out in sequence. The first cars to receive updates have a VIN number divisible by 3 when there is an”R” in the month or divisible by 4 when there is no “R”. In both cases, there should be no less than 42 psi in all four tyres. If...

    [UK] 2024.14.x

I’ve now had a couple of drives on my 60 mph B road test track. The car does now slow a bit near junctions that happen to be on bends but not the tight bend closest to home. When new in 2020, it slowed for all the bends on AP. Speedo size is excellent again at long last. Why they ever messed...

    [UK] 2024.14.x

The screen is not unlike when my car was new in 2020. Lots of other vehicles showing up again and a decent sized speedo. Regen bar is fine in the dark but a bit lost in daylight. Doesn’t bother me to be honest. AP runs a bit close to the kerb in this version, but I swear it’s slowing down on...

Having seen Durzel’s post, I’ve called in the local Mac Doctor, who did a great job repairing my 2014 iMac. He said he now does a lot of open core installs. Mainly because people with older 27” iMacs don’t want 24” ones. I saw the instructions but bottled out…

Buying a Model 3 prioritise age or mileage?

I wouldn’t dismiss an early 2020. The lack of heatpump doesn’t make much odds with mine. I regularly get better than 4 miles/kWh in summer but it probably is more hefty in the winter. I like the interior better than the newer ones too.

My iPad popped up a photo reminder this morning. My experience taking Tesla to court about FSD

I had a test drive in February 2020 which was organised by Cambridge sales centre, who brought several M3’s to a Hotel in Norfolk. The guys were really enthusiastic about AP and FSD. The guy I was dealing with had driven most of the way from Cambridge on AP. The staff all genuinely believed that...
