    Supercharger - Branson, MO (speculation)

I'm an optimist. Elon said Tesla is going to spend $500 million on new superchargers this year. I'm hopeful it'll get rolling when the supercharger team is re-formed (they've already started hiring back some of the team that was laid off).

    Entire Supercharging Team Fired?

Watch some of Munro Live videos on battery removal. It's not trivial. Tesla would have to make major changes to swap batteries. With all the other things going on at Tesla, I'd be very surprised it that happens.

    Entire Supercharging Team Fired?

Check to see how far apart the superchargers are on your intended route. As long as you're on interstates, I'm guessing they would be 50-75 miles apart. If that's the case, I would say you don't need the adapter. Leave yourself enough % to get to another charger if your target charger can't...

    Entire Supercharging Team Fired?

I think that's a point people are missing. GM is building out the Ultium network and Mercedes is building their network. As NEVI funds start rolling through the system (it's been a long process), more and more non Tesla chargers will be coming online. And yes, Teslas can use these with a CCS...

    Supercharger - Branson, MO (speculation)

I talked to a supercharger construction crew once. They have a schedule of where to be and when to be there. If they're really busy, they might have locations scheduled out for several months, or if things are slower, it might only be a week or two. So, they could start construction in...

    Supercharger - Franklin, NC

Yes, indeed! Hopefully it's something like this was supposed to be a back in site, not a pull through. Maybe an update to V4 and/or magic doc. Maybe new wiring to make them 500kW capable. Or....

    Supercharger - Sylva, NC

There are 5 check-ins on plugshare, so at least 5 people have charged there.

Supercharger - Lake Charles, LA - 1758 W Prien Lake Rd

The covers over the chargers appear to be higher on the front and slope down to the back. Tesla covers are more or less flat.

    Supercharger - Franklin, NC

The store at the "start" of the dragon used to have a destination charger. I haven't been by lately so I don't know if it's still there, but plugshare probably knows.

Thanks! But what's the permit date?

MASTER THREAD: 2021 Model 3 - Charge data, battery discussion etc

Wh/mile depends on your driving style, temp, etc. Range is an estimate based on your driving style. I can make my Wh/mile and range say almost anything I want. yes 10% is normal the first year, it settles down after that.

Wow! wonder how many and if they'll be V4.

Ford says owners can start using superchargers today (Feb 29)

I wish. Q4 sales were around 317K. At that rate, it would take ~9 months to reach 1 million. And, most people charge at home, not at superchargers. But yeah, I'm keeping my CCS1 adapter as well, but I'm not worried about Tesla chargers getting jammed up.

Ford says owners can start using superchargers today (Feb 29)

From Tesla's website: with approximately one new stall opening every hour, we’re just getting started. https://www.tesla.com/NACS

I dunno. Look at the pedestal on the far right. Maaaaybeee that's a magic dock......

    Supercharger - Sylva, NC

I thought so at first but it's a drive through car wash. So probably not. But looking at Google Maps I would have put them on the other side of the parking lot, just in case. Edit: I don't mean to sound mean. I'm happy for the new chargers.

    Supercharger - Sylva, NC

Looks like they put them on a sidewalk? Very unusual. Almost looks photoshopped.

    Supercharger - Greenville, SC

Maybe, but Tesla has an agreement with Hilton. This isn't the only Hilton property with a supercharger. When we travel, we stay at a Hilton property because the hotel has a supercharger. Very convenient to plug in, go eat breakfast, get a full charge, and we're on our way. Yes, the GVL...

Hopefully updated to V4 or at least V3 with magic doc.

Supercharger - Tucson, AZ (Broadway Blvd)

It varies, depending on how fast local governments and/or utilities move. Could be 6-8 weeks or 6-8 months.

    Supercharger - Gaffney, SC

Wow! That one flew under the radar! Nice to have another charger between GVL and CLT.

Like @Jeremy3292 said, property taxes are county specific. You can stop by your county tax office and they can give you an estimate.

    2018 Model 3 Battery Degradation

So what was your range at 80% when new? IOW, how much has the battery degraded?

    Vehicle registration in South Carolina

I'm assuming you purchased the car as opposed to leasing. This is how I did it in July 2023. Tesla mailed the certificate of origin about 3-4 weeks after I picked up the car. Maybe Tesla has changed their procedures since then. You need to take your bill of sale (available in your Tesla...

Supercharger - Columbia, SC - Forest Drive

It usually takes a few days to show up in the Tesla nav system. I'd say it's open.

    Supercharger - Hendersonville, NC

Four is an unusually small number of chargers. I hope that's just a start
  29. T

Supercharger - East Point, GA - N Commerce Dr

Maybe I don't see what you're talking about, but it looks to me like the East Point and Pratville installations are the same. I think both the "front" and "back" of the pedestal (the white piece with "Tesla" on it) are the same for both sides. It looks like the cables on both sites are facing...

    Scheduled charging not working properly

I think that's the key. You have to set the off-peak window so that you can schedule departure charging. This is somewhat confusing to me and maybe I have it wrong, but it would be easier to understand/use if you just set a time to leave and the car would finish charging by then. (I don't have...

    Supercharger - Prattville, AL

Looks like Montgomery is getting some love. There's a relatively new one south of Montgomery and the "old" one on the east side. Now this one, on the north side. Now if only Mobile would get some love.

    LH Crush Can Assembly?

Did you ever figure this out? I, too, have a high pitched sound on my 2023 MY LR when I accelerate. Anything to be worried aobut?
  34. T

Why is my car using so much battery?

That's 378 Wh/mile. Can't say if that's normal for a P or not, but my lifetime average for my LR non P (2610 miles) is 277.
  35. T

    Supercharger - Spartanburg, SC

I hope Tesla monitors things like this and puts another one (12 stalls this time!) near the I-385/I-26 junction.

I started the video and it was talking about a 12V battery. Only watched a minute or so.

I think the OP was asking about the LiOn 16V battery.

Should have purchased a CCS adaptor before the road trip

I think Tesla is the only one offering it for sale now, and it's reasonably priced. I would get the Tesla one just in case there was an issue with it. Tesla should stand behind it, warranty wise. Note that your car has to be enabled in order to use it. I don't remember exactly where that is...

    CCS combo 1 adapter

You don't need a new charge port, but you do need some new electronics. You can youtube it and DIY if you're handy.

    12v spare?

I'm not sure it would be drivable if it has a dead battery. If the battery is really dead, I don't think a jumper from another car would revive it. I recommend replacing the 12V proactively to avoid the hassle.
  41. T

    12v spare?

Yes, you can open it with an A23 battery if you know how to do it. And if you have an A23 battery. I've never tried but I suppose you could open it with the jumper cables if you know how to do it.
  42. T

    12v spare?

I'd replace it at 3 year intervals. The mobile tech will come to your house and do it for you.
  43. T

    12v spare?

Might want to re-think that. Despite Tesla's best efforts, sometimes batteries die without warning. You'll be stranded if that happens. You can't even unlock the car.

    Supercharger - Cherokee, NC

The voting is in and it looks like Cherokee was one of the winners. One or more of the locations you voted for were chosen and will become the home of a new Supercharger location— anticipated to open in between 2024-2026. The following locations were selected: North America Ashland, Wisconsin...

    2022 M3 LR...First 1500 mile road trip (3k round trip)...suggestions?

I carry a plug kit and a small, compact, 12V air compressor. I also carry an extension cord (#10 gauge) but it's probably not necessary. Edit: Check plugshare for charging locations. You might want to consider a CCS adapter if there are no Tesla chargers in range.
