Side note, you can buy a used IC screen/unit for 150-200€ or $ (newer MCU1 revisions don't bubble) and replace it yourself, it's quite simple and doesn't require any special tools or software tomfoolery, just a swap of the screen, plenty of youtube video instructions.

I bet they just didn't tighten the bolts properly. If lower control arm bolts aren't tightened enough they easily loosen and you will get clunks on bumps/divots at low speed. Even the Tesla center screwed me when they did a 300€ alignment and didn't tighten both sides correctly, so it clunked...

If the car is plugged in but not charging, as far as I can tell, it uses the energy directly from the charger to run the heater/pumps, etc., and does not charge and pull from the battery, unless the plug doesn't give enough electricity.
