Have you checked that the "leather" tab for lifting the floor is not interfering with the latch? I saw this a couple of times when the car was new. The tab laid in the latch pocket preventing the trunk from latching closed.

What on earth does this even mean? How do I “put them higher” as I said the front to back fit is good it’s the gaps on the sides that are a problem.

Ok, so got a chance to install the mats after letting them sit to flatten out and the fit is not great. Front to back fit seems pretty good, but I have finger width gaps on the sides, and the drivers mat doesn’t go all the way up the foot rest.

@tshields Several people asking for photographic demonstration of the fit in a 2021 model Y as based on other designs the 2020 doesn't fit particularly well in the 2021. If these fit then lets see some pictures so we can place an order :-)

Where did you see a map of your car's location? Mine is due on Monday and I haven't seen anything show up on the app at all, just the welcome screen, nothing about having purchased a car or anything, so I'd live to know where it is (yes I'm impatient :-))
