Same thing happened to me. Next time youre in the car, after your phone connects to the Ownice bluetooth, use your phone browser and go to 3.3.3.3 then update the software. Fixed it for me.

Hate that these things block so much of the airflow from the vents, which I still think was a dumb design for Tesla though I guess they didn't assume anything would ever be put there to begin with.

@Mandingo great write up. I use Tidal. The Tidal app in the Tesla has one big advantage, which is you can search songs or artists. On CarPlay it won’t let you search, you can only play your favorites, playlists, etc. That’s probably the most irritating thing annoying the CarPlay integration...

Ownice Super weird issue popped up out of the blue. If I’m listening to music say on tidal, and switch the screen to show Waze while driving, the Tidal music pauses. So I can’t listen to music while viewing Waze. I don’t recall changing a setting anywhere. Any ideas?

You've probably just installed in incorrectly and have something pressing the black pins (horn) down constantly. This video explains everything pretty well. Fairly simple install.

Interesting, I haven't had any luck with the hotspot. Set it up with the Ownice, but still can't access my premium services on the Tesla. Wonder if it is not actually connecting (haven't checked to see if the device connects in my phone)
