So, I have a related question: did folks not use the Cruise Control/Auto Pilot/FSD? or were they driving the vehicle. At 78, I really depend upon the vehicle to stop as it is supposed when presented with a possible collision.

Well, se do have FSD but don't tend ot use it. Most offer driving is on back roads with unclear markings.But love the Cruise Control and once I realized I had to choose it from the screen, it has worked. Stops at signs and lights and react to bikes and other cars.

Well, We just switched to a 2024 Model Y from a Model 3 and it feels luxurious compared to that. Much bigger and more comfortable than the 3.

Thanks. I also double checked tosee if I had "checked all the correct boxes" and discovered that I had to press two buttons under "Autopilot" to choose the stop at stop signs and traffic lights--Beta. It's working now. I am so happy.

Well, I may be misusing terms. We set our Teslas up with one stalk down for cruise control and 2 stalks down for Auto Pilot (which includes Lane Assist). I never had issue with my Model 3---but it was 4 years ago and I can't remember how long it took to calibrate.

Low mileage and by trim do you mean FSD, LR..?

We have a new 2024 Model Y with about 80 miles on it and on "Cruise Control" yesterday, it went through a stop sign. Granted, this is back road driving. How much longer do I need to wait fo sit all to be calibrated?

Yup--you know about hindsight..They transferred it to the new Model Y we just purchased and gave us an ok trade in on the 2020 Model 3 we are trading in. I am looking forward to more space.

Trade in values are depressing. Things depreciate quickly. My head is getting around it as the reality.

Had the same problem, not being able to open my car door or drive the car, after being gone for 5 days on a family trip. Was it having the phone on airplane mode four times? I don't know what else would account for the problem. I had to really work on getting the bluetooth connection...

I agree with everything you have said. We bought a 2020 Model 3, LR. And paid for the FSD. Have not used it.

Is auto Steer the same as Cruise Control? because that is all I use. This is not the same as the Phantom Braking.

The times the aggressive slowing has occurred, there were NO other cars around. I just made an appointment withe Service Center--a week away. This is something totally different from anything I have experienced in driving our 2020 Model 3.

I had a very odd drive this afternoon--doing a straight away at about 40 on "Cruise Control" and the car starts slowing very strongly to about 15 mph---nothing apparently causing it .... I had to take over and get back to speed. And it happened one more time on the same suburban streets.

Same here. I always assume I will have to adjust with the little rolling ball on the driver's wheel. The only speed change it responds to here in my area is the speed sign near the I-25 interchange...??

We paid for FSD back in 2020 and regret doing so, since during Covid, we didn't travel much and are still catching up with travel.I like the Cruise Control and use it exclusively and consistently and know that the car has kept me from several collisions. We have to cross near some interstates...

So we are thinking of buying a new Model Y--with better driving comfort than what our Model 3 has been . Great car otherwise--absolutely no problems,just feels every bump. But their suggested trade-in was way off--so am thinking of dealing with Carvana. Thoughts?

Unsettling. But, what the heck was going on with thee driver? unless there was a real car malfunction. I only use the Cruise and it has always stopped the car before impact--if cars are pulling in front of me or coming too close, etc. But I am always hands on car and alert... We have the FSD...

We were just in our Tesla Model 3 and I opened the glovebox 2times using the screen controls. I've never had a problem with this.
