    After they kept ramping up FS production the uniqueness, FOMO, and questionable initial value went away. One lesson I won't relearn. Tesla production eventually outpaces consumer demand. I would guess within a year Tesla will be discounting non-FS CTs.

    Who knows but according to the article the "Tesla driver admitted he was operating the vehicle in self-driving mode." The media frequently uses AP and FSD interchangeably.

    I have to agree. It's too narrow and the display bezel makes it even less visible from the driver's seat. Add to that it'll likely be near impossible to monitor/see via video from mounted internal cameras.

    Elon plans to squeeze every ounce of profit potential from anyone dumb enough to buy in. In the past Elon said Tesla would take a percentage of revenue from the owners and that's after charging an upfront cost, possibly a franchise fee, to purchase the RT feature.

    Elon says training is no longer the limiting factor. He says FSD is working so well now that the limiting factor is the miles between interventions.     I doubt it but I've been surprised before with these wide FSD releases with questionable improvements. If anything I'd guess a mind blowing 12.4.2 release in two weeks and this time it really should be called v13. :)

    Agreed with his routes being boring. Sounds like he prefers 12.3.6 aside from 12.4.1 being hands free. Some issues with unprotected lefts and late lane selections.

    As we know, AI Driver and Elon were referring to a stationary object in path. It's just projecting that object forward in time as FSD moves around it. Not much different than a projecting a previously tracked object forward in time when there's a lost radar return. Recall Elon didn't like that...

    It's early but v12.4.1 doesn't seem any worse than 12.3.6 so hopefully it makes the cut. I seriously doubt the 5-10x improved intervention claims unless those are related to accel/decel.

    Sorry, I meant to say left lane. I saw the no left turn sign. But more importantly for item #2, zero chance FSD has contextual awareness and even if it did it's well before the intersection.

    That's unfortunate. For me v12.3.6 consistently does that most noticeably on 3 lane roads. It makes a right turn into the right most lane of a 3 lane road from an intersection. Quickly takes the center lane. Moments later and 2 blocks before it needs to make a left it again takes the right most...

    At one point Elon was saying 10ms too. That'd be the day. I could be way off base but I bet there will be even more dawdling at stop sign intersections if v12.4.1 finally removes the 10.69 stop short/creep crutch.

    I've had something similar happen twice on the freeway. In both cases FSD and the other cars were turning into the same open lane and I disengaged. I could see it happening as the other cars had their turn signals on. Somehow FSD didn't sense it, but even if it did, it happens so fast FSD...

    I'm still wrapping my head around the apparent NVDA chip faux pas. Elon tweeted TSLA had no place to put them so they needed send them to xAI. Today we learn xAI still needed to purchase land for the supercomputer site. Could this be the planned site for these GPUs?

    It looked like the team quickly halted the video stream as the rocket began tipping over after touchdown on the landing pad. The instrumentation clearly showed it was on its side. :)

    Time will tell if this is real but the first ~3 mins were a bit painful to watch. It remains slow and indecisive. Later it performs a lane changed in an intersection.     Or maybe he's trying to stay employed. :) Unless every Tesla employee's camera is uncalibrated, it doesn't answer why v12.4 has taken so long. And poorly calibrated cameras tends to disable FSD with a UI indicated error. Anything coming from Tesla related to FSD ensures BS is alive and well.
