    [UK] Spring Software Update

Not true. V12 UI is the one with the big 3D car model. V12 FSD/Autopilot is unrelated. Year.Week.Bugfix software releases are a combination of both these things. 2024.14 contains UI 12 + FSD 12.3.6 2024.9 contains UI 11 + FSD 12.4 2024.8 contains UI 11 + FSD 11 2024.14 upwards contains both...

This one was interesting too. Still a software config option. Whether they actually roll it out or not though, who knows.

v12 UI in action; just like the Cybertruck
  17. R

    [UK] Spring Software Update

That was my point. Tesla thinking in action; whilst everyone else installs a sensor they save costs and use tech.
  18. R

    [UK] Spring Software Update

I was assuming it was using the Ultrawide Band key for positioning as those cars have the hardware for that.
  19. R

    [UK] Spring Software Update

The hands-free trunk is interesting. Why install and cable a kick sensor when they think they can do the same thing using UWB?

Tesla MY Longe Range Increased Battery Pack

China has had Quicksilver for a few months now and they have 6 colours available (Pearl White, Ultra Red, Stealth Grey, Blue, Black, QuickSilver). TOUK seem to think our cars are still Chinese despite now having the same colour pallette as Berlin cars and we haven't gained any of the other...

    UK FSD Discussion

I think one of the changes that they will implement is the new regs give it more time to complete the manoeuvre.

    UK FSD Discussion

I wouldn't hold my breathe. This is what the DfT told me a while ago via my MP Which sounds to me like they are involved in making the current regs so are unlikely to diverge.
  25. R

    UK FSD Discussion

So in summary Tesla believe that the current reg changes, as most of us interpreted, require the driver to confirm every action initiated by the system. They will continue to lobby for this to be removed but even the most optimal path would be end of 2025.

New MY Colours from today. Cherry Red and Quick Silver

Without going down the "ha what about the magic roundabout" route, I've noticed these US roundabout videos are pretty simple. Traffic flows are usually very low; lanes are clearly marked and usually 2 wide; usually only "cross" or "T" shaped. Would like to see a video where it has to wait a...

    UK FSD Discussion

I thought AIDrivr's most recent video was interesting in that it clearly showed tight, winding, challenging roads more akin to the ones we get in this country. Although clearly some work still to do I think technically it is making me feel slightly more confident they might actually get there.

  43. R

    So… Highland is out…

Would critics of the buttons on the wheel be satisfied with them if a Cybertruck steer by wire was implemented ("170 degrees in either direction lock to lock")? I feel this is more likely than changing the wheels / stalks at this point although probably not for this generation of 3/Y.
