Most cost effective instrument cluster and MCU1 repair/upgrade

Yes, by newer resivision, I was referring to the letter at the end of the part number. I was assuming that the newer ones would be compatible, but I guess that would not be necessarily the case. Anyway, my original was also -D and I got a -G and was able to successfully swap the display. I can't...

2015 Model S Panoramic glass roof seal

To partially answer my own question: seems like there was a design change in 2015 hence the 2 part numbers. ReelDeal seems to have the probably newer one 1037072-00-B (Model S Panoramic Roof Rear Glass Seal — ReelDeal EV - EV Car Parts and Accessories) but can't seem to find the older one anywhere.

2015 Model S Panoramic glass roof seal

Hey guys! I need to replace the seal that goes around the fixed glass roof and I'm seeing 2 part numbers for apparently the same part. Does anyone know what's the difference between the two? https://epc.tesla.com/en-US/catalogs/32/categories/724/subcategories/27633/systemGroups/53905?categoryID=724

Most cost effective instrument cluster and MCU1 repair/upgrade

Thanks! I had seen it. I kind of wanted to still have the glass. Hoping a newer revision will not bubble up too soon. Used was cheaper too.

Most cost effective instrument cluster and MCU1 repair/upgrade

I'll probably start with replacing the cluster and see if I can get the eMMC replaced under the recall. If I decide later to upgrade the MCU, I would just be out and extra $100ish for the cluster but not have to look at glue stripes untill then. Thanks, guys!

Most cost effective instrument cluster and MCU1 repair/upgrade

Really appreciate your reply. So $1750 gets me MCU2 and instrument and main displays? I haven't been able to add the car to my account yet so I can ask directly. And cluster plug-and-play was another question I had. Worst case, I think I can use the LCD of a used one on my original PCB.

Most cost effective instrument cluster and MCU1 repair/upgrade

Hi guys! My first post here. Just recently got a '15 MS 85 and started going through it so I'm excited. One thing I see I need is an instrument cluster screen because of glass delamination. From what I read so far, an MCU upgrade also gets you the displays replaced @ $2k or $2.5k total. My main...
