Yes, sorry, I was aware it doesn't show the actual distances, but I wondered whether it was confirmed whether or not it is still using the sensors. I still get the 'bongs' which seem to correspond to the old distance measurements.
Has it been confirmed that Park Assist on cars with USS actually disables the USS sensors? Clearly autopark still uses the sensors given it's not available still on non-USS cars?
It shows more cars, pedestrians etc. Also brake lights now show on the vehicles, as do indicators although the indicators seem also to appear occasionally when they are not on, so not very accurate!
Yes, I have USS but Park Assist with Tesla Vision was on. It still uses the old visuals when doing Auto Park at the moment, so no obvious change although I guess there may have been some improvements behind the scenes.
Some reflections having been on a run out:
I like the Tesla vision view for parking, but couldn't work out how to enable this without going into reverse. It seems to switch between that Tesla Vision view and normal view when going at low speed. It switched to Tesla View when I was parking in...
I have it...not had a run out in it yet, but tested pulling in and out of the garage. Was quite impressed with the new Tesla Vision visuals after I'd enabled those. I'll try that out for a bit to see whether it's trustworthy enough to risk turning off my USS sensors permanently.
The new...
I seem to get releases quite early on in general, although missed out entirely on 2024.8.4 so I can't work out if I'm in a batch of early adopters or not.
I've now had my service response. Not sure how advising a scroll wheel reset in the middle of a drive is a sensible temporary fix given it would wipe out my speedo...
I am having this issue locally but only recently noticed it as my car was in for repair for much of November. ARound my house it has LTE connection, and about 200m no connection at all. The switching mast explanation probably holds up, but as you say I can't really understand why there would be...
Thanks for checking.
My car has just done the latest update so I checked again and it's showing a second bank now for infotainment, so all good it seems...
When I looked in my service menu earlier the eSim bit was greyed out. I ran a test on it from the menu and then it went green. Not driven it since though.
That was what I was concerned about... However, if a couple of other people were able to check if they have the same on theirs then it would suggest it's meant to be like that... Anyone else able to check?
I have been having occasional connectivity issues, so have been into the Service settings to run connectivity tests. I spotted in that the Infotainment Bank B says 'failing' and there is no install 'size' in the Infotainment Software page shown in the image below. Does anyone know if this is...
There is a patch apparently as an interim workaround. See: Teslamate stopped working after 2023.38.4 · Issue #3381 · adriankumpf/teslamate
I installed (I think!) in preparation for the car update, but at the moment I'm still on the earlier version so can't test I'm afraid.
I am just in the middle of a claim/repair process as my wife reversed our MY into another car on the street. She later admitted to not using the reversing camera 🤦♂️.
I am with Churchill and will only get a like-for-like car because I paid an additional fee for 'premium' cover which was...
Mine installed a couple of days ago, but only just been in the car today. Camera images seem to be improved from a quick look, mainly seems to have removed the sepia tone from the side cameras I think, so I guess they have applied colour correction. Hard to tell if actual clarity has improved.
I have a tough leads 15m cable but only with a 3 pin or European plug. It's been great for travel where they just have 'normal' outlets. I think you can also get a 16amp rated extension from them but you'd need to check. They are fairly clear about what they recommend on their website.
You could stick a 16 amp commando on the Aircon circuit without a problem as it would pull less than the existing load. I don't think am installer would want to put a full blown wall charger onto the existing 40amp supply to the garage so they're likely to want to put a new connection to the...
I installed a 16amp commando socket on the circuit in the garage. This can be part of a 'normal' circuit so long as you are sensible (i.e. don't have other high-load equipment on the same circuit). Can be done by a 'competent person'.
16 amp charging (requires a commando adapter for the...
Confirm no sign of auto headlights with wipers in settings, but haven't driven yet.
Managed to pair a PS4 wireless controller successfully.
Four-way live camera working in the app.
Other notable change is that the navigation card is back on the right hand side when something is hiding the...
Hopped in the car this morning after the .20.4.1 update and noticed that the Current Trip now displays the time spent rather than kWh. Is that new or have I just missed it before?
Having switched to tracker gas a couple of months ago, the price is now 50% of what it was in the winter, so not so surprising that leccy is coming down. More surprising is that Octopus are passing it on relatively quickly, but kudos to them.
I have a ChipEx kit as well, and to be honest have struggled with it. As you say, the blending solution seems to pull it back out of the chips for me, requiring multiple attempts. Would be interested in recommended alternatives...
I got this morning on my MY.
Had a quick play with the scroll wheel functionality which is nice. But would like to be able to deselect options that are shown which doesn't seem possible (seems you can have all, or one).
Haven't tried the wiper thing above yet.
Didn't like the large text size...
Ah thanks. Missed those!
Good to know on the GivEnergy response times, although in reality I'll not be looking to avoid all import/export so I figure it will be fine for us.
Your situation sounds almost precisely like mine! Although I use dehumidifiers as well to use up excess solar.
I've rigged up a similar car 'charging ramp' script in Domoticz to make use of our relatively small PV array (2.7kW) but am currently transitioning to home assistant. I haven't got any...
