I replaced my front struts with the Arnott and STILL have the rattle. When the diagonal cross brace that attaches to the shock tower is unbolted I have less noise. Weird.

I have been dealing with the same issue for years. Finally replaced the struts with Arnott struts. STILL have the rattle! There is a Tesla Service Bulletin stating that if you have this noise undo the two 13mm bolts that hold the diagonal cross bar to the shock tower and place a fold shop...

I did buy some Arnott shocks for my Model S 2017. I thought it was better but the rattle is there. Arrrghhh!

Its was very easy. Just pull off the plastic horizontal cover and loosen the 3 bolts you see in the photo. One is just out of the shot. It didn't eliminate it but it did reduce it a lot.

I have the same issue with my Model S 2017. I hear it a lot on the loaners too. You have done even more than I have. It does drive you batty.

Yeah I was thinking of swapping them with something more dense. Not sure where to look.

Try this Tesla Service bulletin. https://www.tsbsearch.com/Tesla/SB-18-31-009 After doing the test and the rattle went away they say to replace the struts. I just put 8 rubber washers above and below the shock tower brace and the rattle went away.
