Just turned on pin to drive based on your post. Thanks.

Wondered how the layoffs would affect this service center opening. Looks like it is still progressing.

    Lease Renewal and Registration Fee

In NC, you can apply for a prorated refund of your registration fee. Not sure CA has the same. Have to check with dept of revenue.

    Title Missing

Dumb question but did you ever possess the title? Until the car is paid off, the loan company owns the title. But if your car is paid for, then I'm wrong and perhaps you need to apply for a duplicate title.

    e-Fatigue

Wow, can’t wait to see the feedback on this one. Yep, as a species, we leave a lot to be desired. Latest theory on why we don’t see aliens is that once a civilization reaches that level of technology, they end up destroying themselves. It’s easy to get discouraged but maybe mankind wasn’t...

    ApplePay disappeared from supercharging wallet?

After you posted I checked Tesla app and my Apple Pay was still active. I wonder if reinstalling the app would allow you to fix this.

Free Trial FSD, What DoYou Think About It?

I forgot just how bad auto pilot is. OMG, what a downgrade. But after Elons latest boondoggle I don’t want to send him any more money.

Did Tesla really lay off their entire Supercharger staff

Guess he had to clear some funds for his $55B pay day. It's all depressing for Tesla followers/owners. Why would anybody work for that guy.

New MY, always making steering corrections, as if driving in crosswind

I'm not having this issue. I wonder if it is a camera calibration issue.

Keeps Staying the Highway Passing Lane

Yep, maybe they'll read this forum and take this as positive feedback. My FSD expires today and I'm still on the fence whether to subscribe. It's certainly better than the reviews even with the left lane fault.

Tesla Autopilot Full Self Driving Month Trial April 2024. Pretty Good!

Update to my previous post. Since then I’ve used FSD more and it really works around my town. The occasional hiccup but overall I like it. Highway lane changes also fine. Sometimes it doesnt move right to prepare for an upcoming exit as quickly as I would. Price down to $99 has me giving it...

Tiny paint scratch on my new model Y- can Tesla help with repair?

Same here but mine is MSM. Bought the touch up kit but I’m not real artistic so I’m not that happy with my work. Had the car ceramic coated and thought the paint correction fee would include a professional fix. Not. So just living with it. I suspect a good body shop would charge about $500 to...

Review: Hankook iON evo AS vs Pirelli AS+ Elect vs Michelin PS 4S vs Michelin PS AS 4

Agree. My current choice is the Hankook iON. But I saw good reviews for the Pirelli Elect but could only find the all season in Model 3 sizes.

Review: Hankook iON evo AS vs Pirelli AS+ Elect vs Michelin PS 4S vs Michelin PS AS 4

Yep my mistake. But true that there isn’t an all weather tire in this size, only a summer tire.

Review: Hankook iON evo AS vs Pirelli AS+ Elect vs Michelin PS 4S vs Michelin PS AS 4

Read through 7 pages of comments and I couldn't find any comments on the Pirelli P Zero Elect not available in the standard Model Y LR tire 245/55/r19. Am I missing something and/or is there an equivalent Pirelli tire in this size optimized for EVs (I assume not yet)?

Anybody else experiencing significant battery drain due to Tesla App on iPhone?

I just checked my battery stats and the Tesla app is at 1%. Just a data point for comparison. Should you uninstall the app and reinstall?

First impression of FSD and how TSLA should promote it

The more I use it the more I am impressed. It gets me everywhere I need to go including city streets. But it's a nice to have, not a need to have. I hope Tesla has a fire sale that enables many more of us to afford it.

Anybody else experiencing significant battery drain due to Tesla App on iPhone?

I was going to recommend you look at the battery statistics but you've done that. Maybe restart the iPhone? This is definitely irregular. Sorry I can't be more help.

First impression of FSD and how TSLA should promote it

I think that's a good idea but I suspect it would be $99 at best. I think the early adopters were "well off" comparatively and those buying the second wave are a mix. Just speculation, but fewer buyers now are comfortable with a $12000 add on to a car that is probably more expensive than what...

Tesla Autopilot Full Self Driving Month Trial April 2024. Pretty Good!

Obviously I am a rookie with respect to FSD. Appreciate the reply. There's probably a lot more I'll learn over the month. Used it again tonight driving home from Durham to Greensboro. It did reduce my normal stress. Got fooled once by a weird construction area where the road was painted...

Tesla Autopilot Full Self Driving Month Trial April 2024. Pretty Good!

Got the free trial and drove Greensboro to Hillsboro. I just don’t see the appeal as I feel like other reviewers that it is like a new driver and I get impatient. It was very accurate however. One thing, it would switch lanes to pass but never returned to the original lane. I had to use the...

Help with purchasing decision - what's in the latest MY?

Bought a Model Y last year 2023 without test driving it vs a Model 3. Been curious if I made the right choice. My Y is in the shop for ceramic coating so I rented a Model 3 from Hertz. It’s a 2023 not Highland. It definitely is a little more manueverable as expected and you sit lower. But I’m...

Hertz cuts back on EV purchases

Just rented a Hertz Model 3 for next week while my car is in the shop for ceramic coating. Interesting thing that the Model 3 was the lowest priced rental among all the choices here in Greensboro, NC. I guess this is evidence of a failed experiment with Hertz confirmed as the guy that bought...

Model S vs 3 /Y appearance and perception

Once in awhile when I look at my Y from the side I am amazed that I own such a good looking car. Taste is relative. I do think the 3 is better looking due to smaller profile. When you see a Y or 3 on the road you automatically think Tesla which must be good for the brand.

Do you normally use "CHILL" mode or "NORMAL" mode with your model Y?

Based on this post, I've changed after a year from normal to chill. Two reasons: 1) maybe less wear on my tires (they're wearing fast), and 2) the times I have passengers, they complain they get nauseous from the acceleration. I'm not noticing a large change in acceleration, so it's fine in...

Do you normally use "CHILL" mode or "NORMAL" mode with your model Y?

2023 MYLR purchased in March 2023, 15K miles. I've only used normal. Perhaps I should try chill because my tires seem to be wearing fast.

19" Gemini wheel covers - A recommendation to end all others?

I notice on their website that the Laminar wheel cover comes in Gray and the Orbital wheel cover comes in Silver. So evidently they can make lighter covers but not so in the Medusa model.

19" Gemini wheel covers - A recommendation to end all others?

Fair point but 1) I am not a shrill for Rimetrix. I’m just another member of the club. 2) I am not getting rich $20 a shot. 3) I debated before adding my referral code and probably chose wrongly to include it. Everyone has agency to make their own choices.

The website claims a slight increase in efficiency. I don't track my efficiency, though. As for the grass, thank the HOA :) I'm not sure if this is allowed but here is my 20% off coupon code 28943OBDQ Sorry moderators if this isn't allowed. Just delete it.

    Toyota Bz4X

I loved my Camry hybrid. They have that technology down pat. But my Tesla is a whole other vehicle. Such an amazing driving experience. Never going back. 19" Gemini wheel covers - A recommendation to end all others?

Received the Medusa wheel covers today and installed them. I shouldn't have waited so long. They look great and seem to be high quality. Applying the foam strips (28) was tedious but not difficult. Wheels were extremely grimy under the OEM covers and had to be cleaned. Such a great look...

Podcast starting over after getting out of car

This happens randomly for me. Sometimes the podcast starts up when I get in the car even if I've stopped the podcast before getting out of the car. Sometimes it doesn't and I have to start the podcast which is my desired situation. But most of the time, it does start up where it left off. I...

Washington Post Article - We are running out of energy

Thanks so much for posting the article. A few comments from my POV. Utilities continue to limit the size of home solar installs so that homeowners don't overuse net metering. The utilities see this as a financial loser. And they are eliminating net metering wherever they can. The blame is...

Washington Post Article - We are running out of energy

URL still takes me to a paywall. But I get the idea from your read of it. I'd heard something related about how bit coin mining was using so much data center capacity. I still don't understand currency mining but leave for another forum topic.🤫

Washington Post Article - We are running out of energy

Reports filed this year with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission show grid planners expect nationwide electricity demand to grow 4.7 % over the next five years — while 2022 estimates called for just 2.6% growth. Peak demand is expected to grow 38 GW over the next five years.Dec 13, 2023...

Can’t post the article because it is behind a paywall, but those of you who subscribe to the Washington Post will be interested in an article they just posted that we are running out of electric power and the grid can’t keep up with added renewables. If anyone can legally post the article, it...

    New 2024 model y 1st tesla owner

TurboTax Delays in Filing for Home Solar Rebate

Finally was able to post tax returns today after latest TurboTax/IRS update. Just one observation FYI. The rebate for installing a level 2 charger no longer applies to most Tesla owners. The reason they ask for your latitude and longitude or GEOID is to locate your home. You only get the...
