So to my naked eye it's not as uneven as I previously thought. I'm hella nervous about running it this low though and it could be in my mind, but I swear I can hear some occasional rubbing, though I'm not seeing any evidence of that on my tires or within the fender area/wheel wells.

I was afraid I got that wrong. Thankfully, the front links appear to be more easily reached/adjusted while on the car. If anyone has tips on adjusting while on the car, would welcome that info or a link to a Youtube video if one is out there. So far all I've been able to find are videos of...

For those of you running N2itive lowering links, can you post your height settings when you post pics of your setup please. I had mine installed yesterday. I went -5 on the rear and -4 on the front and the front still sits lower than the rear at rest and might be a little too low overall...

Plaid 21” rear tire woes - factory defect?

Probably not enough miles to form a definitive conclusion yet, but at about 1500-2000 miles I installed the N2itive components. I'm now at 16,000 miles spread across my original 21" wheel/tire setup and my 20" Signature Wheels summer setup, both on Michelin tires. I had the N2itive lowering...

    Tire Rotation

Rotations are good practice. May or may not make a significant difference, but in most cases will be beneficial. As others have mentioned, if the tire is NOT DIRECTIONAL, rotate them left/right at the manufacturer's recommended interval to ensure even wear. If my tires were directional then I...

Good Riddance: The '22 Tesla Model S Plaid Saga Comes to an End

Mine has been primarily trouble-free, but my neighbour with the exact same car down to the color has already had to return his for a new one due to some sort of suspension issue that, according to him, felt like a wheel was about to fall off every time he drove the thing. I'm sure I've said...

Every airbag removal video for the car tracks with theirs. Pop it out, unplug the harness and done. Watched the Tesla mobile dude do the same with my Yoke when he switched me over to a round wheel. The programming involved after he was done was purely to update the icons in the software to...

    Show off your aftermarket wheels.

I haven't noticed any issues in steering effort going from the factory 265/35/21s to my 285 square setup. In fact, other than the significantly reduced unsprung weight, probably the only noticeable difference for me has been slightly less understeer, which I consider a positive development...

Vendor Teslaunch Model X/S Gear Shift Stalk Switch Turn Signal Lever Kit🚀GIVEAWAY!

I'm deployed - otherwise I'd jump all over this and try it. Install looks a little involved, but not too bad. Would have rather have had turn signals on left stalk, wiper control on right as this is my first Tesla and the stalk drive controls would be just as foreign to me as swiping up and...

Tesla offered to replace my yoke with round wheel

If driving the car is more important to you than the novelty look factor of the Yoke and perhaps better visibility of the dash, get the round wheel. I paid $700 for the privilege and my ability to drive the car at all speeds and actually utilize the full capability of the car increased...

Tesla drops prices on X/S $20k. All colors free. Bye bye resale

Agreed. I'm not terribly out of pocket if I made a move for the new seats/mech horn, etc., but my car appears to have been put together reasonably well. I'd walk away from the full XPel wrap I just installed a year ago, but that was going to happen eventually, but I don't know that it's worth...

Tesla drops prices on X/S $20k. All colors free. Bye bye resale

For sharts and giggles I checked to see what Tesla would give me on a trade-in. My MSP is an Aug 2022 build with 15k miles. $66k was the offer. Paid about $115k a year ago.

Tesla drops prices on X/S $20k. All colors free. Bye bye resale

So I do have a weird observation, although perhaps this was just a case of the insurance coverage. My father-in-law is the first Tesla owner in the family and he purchased a used Model X several years ago. May have been a demo model, but he paid about $90k for it at the time. I think 2018/2019...

Tesla drops prices on X/S $20k. All colors free. Bye bye resale

Depreciation is one thing. Happens naturally and is greater for some cars than others. You roll the dice there, but you generally have an idea of what to expect. Forced depreciation is something else entirely. I put down $30k on my Tesla. Today, my balance is maybe $10k less than I would...

Center horn retrofit for Model S

Thanks - sent that guy an email to see if he'll consider shipping it. And for any of you 2024 owners who'd rather have a Yoke and don't care about the mechanical horn, I've got a Yoke with airbag I'd love to offer up as a 1-for-1 trade!

Center horn retrofit for Model S

damn - that's tempting. Are the X and S wheels the same part number? I dropped the $700 to switch my MSP Yoke to the round wheel. For this price would do it again to get a working horn.

Gloss or Matte Rear and Lip Spoilers on Midnight Silver Metallic

I had gloss carbon fiber in my Audi and after almost 10 years I could detect no delamination or the dreaded yellow hue that plagues inferior carbon fiber after a while. In some ways I wish Tesla had gone glossy on the MSP but the matte looks pretty good, so I don't think you can go wrong either...

N2itive Lowering Links. What is everyone setting their links at?

From their website: Tesla’s Tire Wear & Shudder Issues From the factory, Tesla Model S and Model X cars come with two major design flaws that cause a front end shudder or vibration and shortened rear tire life. The first design flaw is noticed under hard acceleration and presents itself as a...

N2itive Lowering Links. What is everyone setting their links at?

The plan was to go with 5, but when I went to pick the car up the installer had chosen to not install them because he thought they would rub with my Signature Wheels. When will the FSD trial start rolling out?

I wasn't paying attention to any of this as I'm overseas and without my car for 2-months, but saw an update was pending for my '22 MSP and allowed it to proceed. I assume if that update carried the free trial that there is no way for me to delay it until I get back. This trial is useful for...

In my case 285/35/20 was the recommended tire from Jamie @ Signature Wheels. Frankly, considering the beating the rear rocker panels/wheel arches are taking from rocks kicked up by the front 285s, I can't imagine going any wider. I will say that at even non-Plaid launches, I am getting wheel...

    QuickJack to produce Tesla-specific model

realized only now that this post is several years old, but the OP stated none of their models work with the S. Looks like they developed the 6000ELX since the initial post, but I now need to figure out whether my 7000TL will work or if I need to sell it and get the 6000ELX instead.

Center horn retrofit for Model S

Critically, the airbags are different between the Yoke and the Round wheel, and apparently between the original Yoke and the new center horn Yoke. Without the airbag, not sure what your options really are for your old Yoke if you keep it.

Center horn retrofit for Model S

I got to keep my yoke and airbag when I upgraded to the round wheel last year, but I think the airbag was simply because the guy's instructions didn't specifically say I couldn't keep both.

How long did it take you to get used to the stalk-less turn signals?

I'm a year and just under 15k in and it's still an ass pain, but manageable. The far bigger issue is the horn, which still requires me to look for it. If the new wheel with center/airbag horn is a direct fit I'd pay another $700 to switch from my current round wheel to the get back to an...

    From Y to Audi e-tron: a Comparison

Your experience largely mirrors my own, although we currently have one of each in the garage. Last year around this time I sold my beloved modified C7 S6 and purchased my '22 MSP. In early 2020 we bought my wife's e-Tron SUV at a time when Audi seemingly couldn't give them away. Her e-Tron...

Thanks brother. That's what I'm doing now, but so far the covers I've tried have been fairly loose. I'm used to needing that tool to pull them off my Audi, but on the Tesla just hitting them with my knuckles while washing the car dislodges them.

Jamie, or anyone else: Any idea where I can find a set of black lug nuts that are not/not titanium in the factory/short length? I bought a set of black Gorilla lugs and they are very long. I prefer the flush look but don't need the added expense of titanium.

Plaid front wheels break traction in tight turn into garage

I have been caught out in cold snaps with summer tires on other cars and have never experienced this until my MSP, but then again I have never run a tire this wide on any vehicle. Road and Track EV Performance Car of the Year

Body metal probably plays a big part in the weight difference. 2023 Model S: The best camera, is no camera at all

I have more of an issue with Tesla's inconsistency. I'm not having any of the issues you are. Plaid Vibration around 38-42MPH....

I thought someone posted pics a while back that showed actual gouge marks on the half shafts. Would have to try and track the post down, but I recall actual, visible, physical damage to the half shafts that ultimately resulted in Tesla replacing that individual's half shafts.

Not what I wanted to hear. I have my n2itive lowering links collecting dust in a box and had planned on reinstalling them when I return to the factory 21s for winter. We've seen actual photos of the half shaft damage though, so if it's not the angle, what could be causing this?
