MY 2024/2025 Refresh - Project Juniper?

I don't think the M3 has the aluminium trim around the phone charger, I can't see it in the M3 details.

[UK] 2024 Order to Delivery discussion

Congratulations on your new car! Even though I'm waiting for the Juniper Y, I've been watching more YouTube about Tesla than is good for me. The top few here (apart from sponsored ones) are from really knowledgable about their cars and Tesla. All worth a watch if you have the time, I've found...

New MY Colours from today. Cherry Red and Quick Silver

Good point, but I haven't seen any reductions for a while, and I've been waiting so long for Tesla to sort out the parking issues that I've decided to wait for Juniper. It may be a while I know, but it's likely to be the last car I buy, so worth the wait :) Have Tesla ever offered any other...

New MY Colours from today. Cherry Red and Quick Silver

I really like the new colours, Quicksilver in particular, the cost is silly though, £2600 for the Midnight Cherry and Quicksilver, £1300 for the Black and Blue. Can't wait for the Juniper now the new colours are out :)

    Tesla Alternative?

I've been looking at the EX30 too, a lot cheaper and smaller than the MY, but might be too small for my needs. Its getting good reviews though: https://www.whatcar.com/volvo/ex30/estate/review/n26262 https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/volvo/ex30 https://www.topgear.com/car-reviews/volvo/ex30...

    [uk specific] Software 2023.32

Thanks @Adopado, I wish I could find the post, but It has scared me a little. I hope it is incorrect as I really like the MY and don't really want to wait until Juniper to get one.

    [uk specific] Software 2023.32

I'm on the lookout for a MY with USS and read post yesterday that the latest software will stop USS sensors being used (I can't find it now), is this the case? I saw the RSymons video which showed them still working, which was probably filmed before the latest update. I've seen a few 2022 MYs...

Thanks, tbh, I’d rather have the discount, I’m old school!

    Potential UK Model Y Purchase

Thanks our all your responses guys, You've given me a lot to think about. Looking on Autotrader and there are a few 22 reg's with USS at mid £40k, grey with 20 inch wheels, Although from what has been said, I'm not sure I should insist on them, I'm hoping to try one out soon. The Tesla site...

    Potential UK Model Y Purchase

Thanks GRiLLA, I see your points totally, certainly for UK driving (unless you drive high miles), the standard AutoPilot seems to be the best option. I can see, the attraction of Summon, thinking it could be useful getting the car out of the garage. I watched some YouTube video's of both last...

    Potential UK Model Y Purchase

Thanks GRiLLA, good point, it's certainly a risk I need to weigh up. The issue appears to be that Tesla remove the facilities before they have replacements for them. I'm aware of things like Autopark and Summon for example, as well as the parking issue using Tesla Vision. Whilst I realise...

    Potential UK Model Y Purchase

Thank you so much for checking that Jason, I really appreciate your help. Ive seen a 22 for sale at a dealer 12 miles away, I’ll try and give them a call tomorrow and go and have a look. It’s not the colour I’m after, but I’d like to try a car with USS and check out what is different.

    Potential UK Model Y Purchase

Thanks, I did think it was a 'worm', but expect it to be more accurate, not showing half way up the bonnet when its 8-10 inches from a wall.

Thanks WannabeOwner, some good points there, certainly given me things to think about.

    Potential UK Model Y Purchase

Thanks Jason71, what sort of distance do the USS indicate accurately? I've seen a few 22 plates around £45K, and if I understand correctly, USS would be the only physical difference from a 23 model?

    Potential UK Model Y Purchase

Thanks Mrklaw, I get what you're saying and some good ideas. I drive forward into the garage and have seen things that would stop the car and/or indicate where the front is. When I tried the MY, it just fitted with about an 8-10 inch space at the front. Is the Tesla quarter as per the...

    Potential UK Model Y Purchase

Thanks guys, Its good to hear helpful responses. I have to say I was gutted when I realised there were no parking sensors on the MY demo car, If there were, I'd have signed on the dotted line there and then. I completely see your points on EAP and FSD, I'm not sure I'd trust them on uk roads...

    Potential UK Model Y Purchase

Thanks father_of-6 and others. You are speaking perfect sense, and I'm getting a good idea from your replies and forum posts as to what to expect from Tesla ownership. I think my next step should be to find a MY with USS and try it in the garage. From what I've read, the big deal with HW4 and...

    Potential UK Model Y Purchase

Thanks laser vet, I hear what you're saying, I'm sure it's something that will be resolved, I can't be the only potential owner for parking in a tight garage is an issue. I've seen used 2022 MY's with low mile and US Sensors , but if there is the potential that they will be disabled, its an...

    Potential UK Model Y Purchase

Thanks DanDi58, I completely understand what your saying, I had the MY for 24 hours and it did everything we wanted, but the USS or accurate distance of objects is really important so we can get both cars into our garage. I'm not a fan of Elon, but that's not what's stopping me buying one. If...

    Potential UK Model Y Purchase

Thanks for your quick reply uscbucsfan. So it looks like buying a MY with USS isn't worth it as Tesla could disable the USS at any time, even if they are working now. The test car was using Tesla Vision (advised by the Agent), it was completely useless, at the rear it showed 20cm, actually...

    Potential UK Model Y Purchase

I’m so pleased I found this great place, I’ve been in a rabbit hole since I test drove a MYLR a few weeks ago. I’ll try to cut a long story short and hope I’ll get some answers from the extensive knowledge and experience of forum members. So here goes; A few weeks ago SHMBO and I had a...

    UK Aug 23 Insurance Recommendations

I'm looking at getting a MYLR and am in semi-rural Notts too, the best quotes I've had have been: Admiral - £829 Elephant - £837 Diamond - £845 Admiral Gold - £853 All £650 excess, 10 years + NCB, garaged, no points or claims. I know EV rates are higher, but they are ridiculous, I'm paying...
