    Renting a Y from Hertz?

FYI, Avis in Valencia, CA locked out stop options on a 3 and stayed with “roll” which IIRC is most-similar to conventional vehicles. Regen was same, and chill/standard could be toggled. The renter charges the 3 at any Tesla station; the cost goes to the Avis franchisee and is a pass-through...

Austin 4680 AWD pulled from production?

Wondering what’s the strategy behind this. I’ve read they might be dedicating all 4680 to Cybertruck for a while. Maybe they’re clearing out the lower capacity pack and less-fast motor ahead of upcoming improved components? Any thoughts welcome.

    Best Mud Flaps Head-to-Head comparison?

Just get these: https://haloblk.com/products/model-y-mud-flaps Durable plastic for the mounting and flexible flap for high speed bumps & other obstacles, but not so flexible they’re flapping in the wind like some do. Same size, materials, look, easy mounting and quality as Tesla’s flaps, and...

Sell MYP '22 for M3LR Highland?

Do you want a smaller car? Then yes, get the Highland. That seems like an easy question to answer for yourself. If you don’t want a smaller car, then you need to come up with rationalization that works for you.

Any good alternative for basenor mudflap?

These have been great - $30 for four. They fit 2023 AWD Austin build. Easy install, no bolts, and the material isn’t hard plastic or floppy rubber. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0C1S3DR95 Here’s closer shot of the rear flap. These also use 2 clips and don’t require that rear bolt like others...

    App stopped reporting climate temperature

Thanks for the info. We’ve had two separate Tesla accounts and two authorized phones and zero issues with car/app reporting climate - until the moment we scheduled the vehicle software update. I know this because we’ve watched climate daily due to hot days and new-user curiosity about the...

    App stopped reporting climate temperature

2023 MY AWD Austin built: After notification of newly available software, which won’t be installed until 1 am tomorrow, the phone app stopped reporting climate temp, and it won’t let me operate cabin overheat options. Anyone have same happening with them? Maybe it’s a preventative measure?

Vendor Teslogic — Mobile Instrument Cluster for Tesla Model 3/Y

Hey gang - from those who've owned this product for a while, is it getting updated when Tesla software gets updated? How is the ongoing support and feature-addition going? Is response time adequate, and are any functionality issues addressed in a timely manner? I'm considering other products...

    Service Manuals Now Free?

Pray you never damage your front drive unit. Per the manual, it's 266 steps to remove & replace, including post-op checks and alignment. Just a guess, but that's probably a $5k-$7k job minimum, including the new drive unit. Looking at that and a few videos, owning an out of warranty Tesla might...

In some of the sections I've seen there are part numbers shown in the individual service pages.

    Service Manuals Now Free?

Hopefully one of us who has no life (LOL) can go through and save each service page as a PDF and assemble them. Or...forum users can pay someone to assemble the pages they want and compile into a manual. For example, I just turned the "Bushing - Gearbox - Front Drive Unit (Remove and Replace)"...

    Model Y tire pressure drop

If you're talking 1-3 PSI up or down, that's just air getting colder & hotter...physics. If you're talking the tires keep going down 10 PSI, then they're leaking. Given it's happening in all tires, I'm guessing you're just watching PSI drop a bit when they get cold. Perfectly normal.

New Austin 4680 AWD (not LR) 279 mile range variant -Oddities and questions...

That looks like the Hansshow 4.6" Ultra Mini Display. I found the version for AMD processor at a price low enough to see if we like it.

FYI photos: passenger A pillar wiring for June/July 2023 Austin MY AWD 4680, hardware 4.0

I thought so too. I've asked Hansshow the manufacturer if it's compatible with 2023 Austin MY AWD 4680 structural battery, and they asked for photos because they don't seem to know much about that model. Tsportline.com has a compatible display, but I don't know which one. But at $200+ and...

I didn't come across these on the forum so I thought I'd post. Photos are passenger A pillar wiring for the vehicle described in the title. Feel free to discuss and share what you're seeing in the photos. I'm curious which ports are used for which accessories. Speaking of, and for comparison...

Thanks! So...any accessories that relied on connecting to the OBD/CAN data bus in the prior location aren't going to work. That's what happened to me today for this category of mini in-vent display: https://www.amazon.com/Luixxuer-2019-2022-Display-Speedometer-Reminder/dp/B0BLNQ33MG...

Austin Built MYSR AWD 26-pin Connector?

My research so far revealed that the 2023 Giga Texas Austin Built Model Y AWD with 4680 battery back has a different connector there now. Maybe it was 26-pin before, but it's clearly a 20-pin now. I haven't found much on the forum yet regarding this. For now I'll return the mini display and...

    Model Y changes over time

For 2023 Austin built, non-long-range, 4680 battery pack, the data port on rear side of the center console is no longer there as seen below. Anyone know where it went?

Small front display for Model 3/Y - Fits inside AC slot (pics, vid and info)

Possible bad news for Austin-built 2023 MY wanting to use a mini in-vent display. The data port described in this thread doesn't exist, and so far I'm not seeing any posts from anyone describing where it is or what happened to it.
