Agreed. Also I don't think they would have Tesla confirmation this quickly post incident. I'm guessing this is based on what the driver of Tesla claimed at the time of accident. I'm sensing some BS on this but we'll see as details emerge.

First drive since updating to 2024.14.9 and I agree with earlier remarks on how FSD 12.3.6 seems a little different now. It seems more eager to take off from stops / red light etc. Seems slightly less hesitant coming to a stop sign. Also less naggy on the steering wheel. I think... New interface...

5.26 minutes of yearly downtime could be the aggregate of 5-6 occasions where it pulls over (ie take a minute or so per disengagement). Could be worse if "downtime" leads to potential accident. I think its still too many minutes considering the passengers will have no way to interact or correct...

While waiting for 12.4.1... I would like to try using an app on my iPhone to keep track of hard braking events. Something that uses the accelerometer and logs data with metadata (time, location etc) to refer to as I use FSD. Anyone have a recommendation? Thanks in advance.

Haha! Same experience. Its especially funny when FSD is late to respond to a slowing down or turning vehicle and ends up beeping at me and telling me take control immediately!!!

I agree with the logic here but feel its cheaper in the long run to just signal anyways.

This following is from the code book for CA. It doesn't talk about whether or not there is another car in the lane you're merging into etc. You must signal or face the potential ticket.

it still visualizes traffic cones on the side of the road so I think it sees the objects such as trash cans but not shows it on the screen. As long as it sees them and avoids them I'm ok with it.

Talking about visualization... what happened to the trash container visualization? Somehow I notice they are not shown anymore when lined up on the side of the road. They used to show before but I think post 12.3.4 or .5 maybe they were dropped.

I had this issue in tight winding countryside road where the speed limit was 55 and car was not slowing down for the upcoming tight turns. I think we should have a class action started to demand fresh wiper blades every 6 months until the autowipers are made to work well. My wipers dry-hump my windshield so often that the wiper blades are already toast. ;)

Interesting how this happens to me all the time on one particular intersection and then doesn't happen on some others. There must be something in the surroundings to cause this anomaly.

Any idea when Tesla will move highway driving to the new stack? Is this something we will see in v12.4, 12.5 etc or is it a v13 thing?
