I just wanted to add on to this thread saying I've been using the Alpine PWE-S8 powered sub in my 2023 M3 with the 16V and it works fine. Mine is mounted in the OEM spot too with some 3D printed mounts I found online.

How can I tell if it’s a 2024 or 2023 from the Tesla inventory site? It doesn’t say the year

How did you buy a 2023 new in 2024? Does that mean you have the premium audio system?

It’s the two wires above the red and white if you have the Hansshow harness. If you dont, it’s the 2nd the 3rd wires from the top with the clip facing up

I think they are using a Rockville SS10P which also says 12V (not the Alpine), so I don’t know how they are using it.

Does this powered sub work with 16V though? Because the manual says 12V.

How about this one that costs like $25? Says it takes in 15-40V and outputs 12V at 30A which is more than enough watts for powered subs or smaller 8” ones. 12V Step Down Voltage... Amazon.com

I don’t understand how the version A of this kit works. The included subwoofer is an Alpine PWE-S8, but that requires a 12V ground which the 2023 models don’t have. How is it working?

What if I use a step down converter that converts from 16A to 12A?
