I have no idea how franchise fees are garnered, but I would be surprised if any of that would go to GM for work done by a GM dealer on a Tesla. It boggles the mind that GM is bragging about it - as if this is a new revenue source for them. For GM dealers, perhaps. For the mother ship, not likely.

But it is paid to the dealer not to GM. No money is going to GM, but they get bragging rights? GM gets nothing out of a dealer servicing a Tesla and getting paid by the Tesla owner. What am I missing?

Possible that one had a conditioned battery. If two are traveling together you may not think to engage the navigation system in both vehicles to take you to the Supercharger. Use the nav (in both) since it will warm the battery as you approach the Supercharger for faster (and consistent) charging.

Odd that you had such a disparity in charging rates. It is a V3, so no sharing should have impacted your charge. Did you report it? I am interested as this will be faster than Texarkana in my new Model Y on the way to my brother’s in Wylie. My old Model S wouldn’t care. My boys love Olive Garden...

More amenities in Providence, but harder to get in and out in bad traffic.

Especially one that has a McDonald’s inside which means that many Tesla drivers will visit. But there is also Cheddars next door (almost always busy) and a Firestone Complete Auto Care Center next door as well (they worked my my P85D when I lived there).

Tesla doesn’t, but the IRS does. If Tesla honors a tax credit, it is reported to the IRS and will be reflected as a claimed tax credit. If you don’t qualify, I’m sure you would be able to rectify when you file your return. I doubt sellers would be liable. This is speculation, of course...

About time! Only 2 1/2 years after I moved away from Mount Juliet. Tip, don’t try to turn into McDonald’s if coming from the interstate. Go past Cheddar’s to the next light and turn left and left again. It is much easier to head south back onto the interstate after your charge.

It really depends. Generally, I suspect MCU2. However, my MCU2 took a day. My battery swap took ten days. Seven days for the battery to arrive and three days to retrofit the 90kWh pack into my P85D. Most of the time was retrofitting firmware.

We were indeed slated to stop there at Jasper and I was prepared to get Frosties, but my boys were asleep at the time and I elected to continue on to Lake City. Lake City’s 6 stalls were busy. Being V2 (shared), charging was slow. Traffic was horrible around Ocala, further south on Saturday evening.

I certainly did retain FUSC when my 85kWh battery was replaced with a 90kWh pack (under warranty, thank goodness). Mine is 400V; 248 rated miles @100% SOC. Incidentally, it has been pegged at 248 miles since replaced over two years ago.
