    University Village Destination chargers

There are signs up now stating "Authorized Use Only"... I'm quite sure these are just meant for the showroom and not for general public. I know sometimes the showrooms will let you charge if they aren't using it..but that's case by case and requires you to park and go ask anyway. Supercharger...

I'm still not seeing the permit on supercharge.info so I also submitted today too. Christmas in Washington! Bellevue, Issaquah, Lynnwood, Vancouver. Awesome.

What do you do if you run out of juice?

AAA Washington announced a mobile electric car charging service a few years ago. However, not sure if this is still offered as they don't seem to say anything on the website now. Out of juice? AAA debuts Washington roadside charging service for electric cars

A Better Routeplanner - for Model X Too

Thanks OP. I will say it was more accurate with just basic settings than evtripplanner was even with a lot of fiddling. I mapped my recent trip from Seattle to Seaside in both tools. Although evtripplanner was a little more accurate given temp settings and tweaking, I had to discover a lot of...

Range in winter conditions and mountain driving

Hi from Seattle to Redmond! I'm not understanding your post... do you mean that the navi was very accurate, enough to swear by? Or that it was very inaccurate and made you swear? ;-)

Child Seat in forward facing config top tether installation

That's not our experience, putting the top strap up and over next to the headrest, as indicated in the manual, works great for ours (Orbit). Tension it down and it stays put quite nicely.

Audio sound level outide the car

I've noticed the same. Music is far louder outside my X as compared to the Audi Q7 (with regular speakers, not the fancy ones mentioned earlier in the post). Frankly I feel the same about road noise inside the car, for a $90k vehicle the road noise is pretty loud. In comparison the Q7 sounds...

    Charge Point Etiquette ?

I've seen this type of rationalization before, but nobody has any idea what your state of charge is, regardless whether you have a short or long range EV. Nobody should be touching other people's cars/cables or taking it upon themselves to determine whether someone "deserves" a charge. If your...

    Rated Range vs. Reality

My wintertime range hit is about -25% (30's and 40's in hilly Seattle)

please help: Front door latch just failed have to drive 400 miles in AM with latch warning beeping!

Wow it looks like people had a lot of varied experience. I had a very good one... our front passenger latch failed but was able to hold the door closed enough to drive (warnings going off but door stayed shut). Drove to the SC in Seattle, they took it in immediately and had it fixed in 45...

    Windshield Wiper Settings

Yes, verrrry slow to ramp up the wipers even on second sensitivity. I find myself manually triggering it all the time if not on constant wipe. The problem (in my unscientific experience) seems to be that it just takes a very long time to notice the rain level. Almost as though the "rain...

    Model X Liftgate

Does everyone else's liftgate just craaaaawwll upward? Seriously it seems like it's just groaning and straining to get that back end up. SC looked at it and tweaked a little but it still is slow as crap.

EV Trip Planner - model X

For my Model X 75 I found the Model S 90D 21" to be pretty accurate with a payload of 500. Frankly the temp settings don't make much difference.

    Model X Winter Driving Experience

On a drive in 36 degree weather I definitely noticed the "cold feet" syndrome. However a quick fix was simply to open the fan controls and manually set to blow air on feet and on windshield (for ongoing defrost). I also cranked up the fan speed manually. With a higher fan speed blowing on my...

Range in winter conditions and mountain driving

Hills and cold have a significant impact. I'm not traversing passes, but in hilly Seattle in this wintertime I'm seeing roughly 25% less range. To play it safe I've been calculating everything around 2/3. ie if my charge says 200 miles, I plan on making 120 miles safely. That's admittedly...

Don't open the trunk and FWD or you will be a snowman

PSA: This falls into the "DOH" category. Just a reminder for folks, if you open the rear trunk and then open a FWD, you *will* end up with snow on the heads of your family in the middle row seats. My daughter was not amused.

Low Battery Supercharging - 0 Kw and 90 minute charge time

Well I guess your "mileage may vary" (guess we also need a new phrase heh). It happened to me at 3% and Tesla Tech Support verified it was expected behavior. Just wanted to put it out there as a PSA for folks in case they find themselves in the same situation and are wondering (like me)...

Low Battery Supercharging - 0 Kw and 90 minute charge time

Hi bush - yes it was cold, about 36 F. However Tech Support said it wasn't a temperature thing, it was a charge thing. Based on some other posts I'm guessing (unverified) that you'd see the same behavior in the summertime.

Low Battery Supercharging - 0 Kw and 90 minute charge time

Verified this with Tech Support this weekend, I ended up at a Supercharger with about 3% battery in my 75D Model X. Plugged in and the screen showed 0 Kw, no miles charged, and a 90 minute charge time. The energy showed brief runs to 6Kw and back down to 0. Per tech support this is expected...

Hi just wanted to add my own experience, I had this happen today on my X. I was down around 5%. Screen said 1 hour 20 to charge but 0 kw. It would occasions flicker to 6kw and back to 0. Called tech support and they confirmed when battery is very low around 5% the supercharger trickle...

    Great planning resource for range

Hi all there's a great planning resource that I found here How Far Can I Travel With this tool you can calculate range around a point taking major roads into account, not just a general circle. Results can then be input into Google Maps to be saved. I used this to generate a 75 mile "no...

Driver side Falcon wing door hinge snapping when opening

We had that issue, took it to Service Center, they looked at it right away and replaced the sensor on the door latch. 30 minutes in and out.

    Remote sensitivity

It's not an uncommon reported issue... to the point that some suggest buying small Faraday bags for your remote! Personally the only issue I had was leaning against the car with key in pocket and bump! the doors all closed. There's an option to disable that as you probably already know.

    Problem with Slacker Media

Yes known issue with 8.0, when leaving the car while a song is playing on Slacker, then returning later, the song will resume and play for 30s and then jump to the next. Not sure this invalidates the entire media player experience though... I personally find the changes very welcome. Waaaaay...

    Windshield Wiper Visibility Issues

God I thought it was just me. Maybe it's a PNW/Seattle thing? Wiper clean going up, big ol smear coming down. Light or heavy rain, doesn't matter. I got some Aquapel for my rear camera to try to help with the visibility in rain but am leery of putting it on the windshield. I had bad RainX...

    Rain sensor

Similar complaint, I think I might know the issue though - seems like the "ramp up" period is too slow. If the sensor is taking an average over several reads and adjusting the wipers to that average rain level, it appears that it's doing it across too much time. I've noticed my wipers start...

The Seattle Area Needs More Superchargers

Guys it's misleading to say the Bellevue site has a Supercharger. They have a high amp charger for service use only while your car is being repaired or prepped for delivery. There's no public Supercharger in Bellevue.

The Seattle Area Needs More Superchargers

Wait... what? There's a Supercharger at Bellevue Service Center. edit - no there is not. Just called the center and spoke to the sales staff. He firmly confirmed there is NO supercharger at the new Bellevue 20th St location. He said they are working on "maybe" getting a couple of outdoor...

    New SC in Seattle

One of the Tesla salespeople told me 2 years ago that a supercharger was going to be installed near the I-5 / I-90 interchange. Firmware 7.1

This morning I woke up to a software update. The update FINALLY(!) adds a setting to turn off the one-press-all-door-close functionality on the keyfob. I would have loved it even better if there was an option to make it double click or triple, but being able to turn off the accidental pocket...
