There is a split on each side of the molding, Tesla placed tape over those areas. The tape will degrade over time and come loose causing leaks. Remove the tape and apply automotive black RTV silicone

Nope, have them perform the warranty work only if they cant or will not say why the harness needs to be replaced. If you decide to pay for the harness, make sure you ask for the old harness to be returned for inspection

I have suggested this many times, when you drop you car off at a Tesla service center. Take video and photos of your car while the service advisor is standing there. If there is any damage, dirt, scuffs and etc. it cannot be denied that they did it.
