I am running 2024.3.15 (FSD 12.3.4) on my M3LR. When will the new "end-to-end AI" run on the highway? My understanding is that that is still using FSD 11. I had hoped to see some improvement with FSD 12 on the highway, not so much....

I had mine brake unexpectedly a few days ago on HW 880 in the SF Bay area.

Got the car back from service. The good news is that it is all working again. The bad new was that they replaced the HW3 computer (~$2300). I hope that doesn't happen again.

A few weeks ago, I got an alert that my 2018 M3LR 12volt battery needed to be replaced. Made a service appointment for the next day. The service appointment took about 45minutes, and cost about $125. Overall, pretty painless.

I think the answer is No. After we complete the worldwide transition to EVs, I wouldn't be surprised there is more revenue in the charging side than in selling EVs.

My plans for my 2018 M3LR are to keep it as long as it is reliable. It has about $53K miles and FSD. Putting less miles on it since my wife got a MYLR. The charge capacity is within 10% of new (one of the reasons why I got the LR). I might consider a different EV in two to three years once...

It's a car designed to be used for many years and hundreds of thousands of miles. It's not going to be worn out for being driven for 18 miles or having a few people touch it.

As the previous poster said, just use the navigation in the car to route to your destination. It will route you to Superchargers and the car will do the preconditioning. I use ABRP to plan a trip before hand, but use the cars navigation on the actual trip. It is better for that because...

Tesla doesn't do model years like other car manufactures. They tend to updates. periodically, very hard to predict when. The changes tend to be incremental. If you wait until 2024, then you will probably wait until 2025 because there will be changes, then you will wait until..... If...

I scheduled an annual service for my M3 and included the harness recall. Mobile service came yesterday and did the annual service (air filter, brake fluid check, etc.) and replaced the harness. All good.

While I am sure you will get a lot of different responses to your question, my answer is no. You do not need to charge daily if you are only driving 10 miles per day. What I do is (except before a long trip) is to charge to 90% and don't charge again until it is less than about 100 miles of range.

I have been turn on the "minimizing lane changes", that works pretty well on the highway. I only wish it was a permanent setting, not having to do it per ride. I will try the clicking L or R on the right scroll wheel.

Might be the GFCI being faulty. They have a history being too sensitive. I agree with others that you would be better off with a dedicated circuit.

My previous three cars before getting my 2008 M3LR were BMWs. I think that a lot of Tesla's sales are to former BMW and Audi owners. I will consider another BMW once they have a good EV model and I am comfortable I can charge it on a road trip.

If it was me, I would get the LR. Of course, you will get more range, but over time the total range will decrease. If you plan to keep the car for a while, you will get better range over its lifetime.

Is she using her phone or the card key. The walk away locking only works with the phone. If you use the card key, you have to lock the car manually.
