That's interesting as I don't think it's meant to do that. My car has never served and instead slams the brakes on as a solution.
  2. S

    [UK] 2024.14.x

That's actually allowed and thats the only exception allowing the car to move to one side of a lane.
  3. S

    [UK] 2024.14.x

Yes, we break the rules and we take the risk and the consequences if caught. But a company can't be seen programming a system to break the rules.. Tesla's hands are tied until UNECE things get changed over here. From what I read.. even the new recommendations still state that any move by the car...

    [UK] 2024.14.x

Problem is that V12 is using Neural Nets to think and make decisions rather than rely on code. The rules in Europe are clear. One of them is the vehicle must stay equal distance between white lines. It's not allowed to cross those lines.. not even to change lanes unless a certain set of...
  5. S

    [UK] 2024.14.x

That's not in dispute. They won't retrain V12 to work under the restrictive regulations.. Therefore we don't have V12 FSD yet.

    [UK] 2024.14.x

That last sentence made me laugh! I think they have only just or about to merge the highway and city streets to V12 in the US. I suspect it will be a while before we get V12 even on highway.. but I live in hope :)
  7. S

    [UK] 2024.14.x

Current Autopark spins the wheel rather quickly.. so I'd assume we're ok. I suspect with it being part of the V12 FSD stack, it may not be easy to include it here with our legacy AP. I hope I'm wrong. We don't have enough information as to how the different features are all integrated now..
  8. S

    [UK] 2024.14.x

They wouldn’t put the effort into putting a nerfed V12. V12 doesn’t follow rules, it drives like a human which isn’t allowed over here. We have to stay centred between lines.. it would require a complete re train of V12 which they will not do. The visuals are nothing like in V12. We still have...

    [UK] 2024.14.x

I don't think we have the V12 stack in the UK.

    Where's solar charging gone?

Anyone with a Zappi.. I've found Charge on Solar to be very good. Stick the Zappi in fast mode and let the PW control the charging rate. I found there was less jumping around on cloudy days.. I noticed the PW and Zappi can sometimes get in a bit of a loop fighting for the solar and can take a...

I have noticed this.. they came on only once in a lit area so its not done by lamp post detection; must be ambient light levels as it was a darker lit road however was in a 30mph housing estate with lamp posts

Tesla App Waking up Car When Opened Directly to Tesla Energy Screen

Should be an option for the car to never wake unless you ask it to refresh the data. A simple Zzz next to the image of the car on the main app with it saying "Sleeping - Tap to Refresh/Wake Up" Something like that, then problem solved.

Tesla App Waking up Car When Opened Directly to Tesla Energy Screen

I got no where with Tesla.. They just don't seem to understand. When I explain, they just don't listen and repeat back that the behaviour has always been this way and the car should wake so the information is up to date..
  20. S

Can’t connect to car via App - anyone else?

I've noticed the Energy side of the app is about an hour behind.. never seen it like this. Whether it's related, I'm not sure. The 'Live' data seems to be behind about an hour. It's like looking into the past lol

    Tap to park coming out

I was thinking the same. It was borderline positive ;)
  22. S

You're not wrong. I would have gotten it by now usually, so not sure what's going on. I have a night time drive on Saturday evening.. I've been patient so far this week however Saturday is fast approaching!

    Tap to park coming out

That's a different branch. That's the FSD branch in the US which is usually behind on the main branch.. FSD branch often have to wait longer for features

    Keyless Car Thefts

I don't think you can order replacement "pre-programmed" keys from Tesla. You can order key fobs and cards but they come unpaired. So they'd need a key to program the new unpaired key..

    Where's solar charging gone?

I have been in contact with Tesla Energy over this as it has never shown up for me. They checked my system and confirmed the PW and the car are all compatible! This was yesterday and awaiting for them to get back to me.. I'll let you know if I hear back.

    [UK] 2024.8.x

As far as I know, the matrix happen when on high/main beam. Where they would usually dip they will dim out the vehicles and leave everywhere else illuminate. They effectively work in Matrix mode whenever the high/main beams are on. Think its the same icon or it may have an A in it.. not too sure...

    M3H supplied cable 3 phase / 22kW?

As you can see from comments above and probably worked out yourself, it's the car that is limiting the charge. The onboard inverter is limited to 11kWs :)

Powerwall / battery storage: can you share how you use it with UK energy tariffs?

I've had no issues with my Zappi being on the Powerwall circuit. It gives me options to charge from the PW if I'd like to. It's only an issue if you get extra IO charging slots. I get enough charge from the standard 23:30 - 05:30 so it hasn't been an issue for me. Also, if there is a power cut...

Powerwall / battery storage: can you share how you use it with UK energy tariffs?

I don't use HA for my PW; however setting the backup reserve to current percentage will "pause the battery" at a guess. Minimum Solar capture is.. less than 100 watts I believe.. It's not like the car where you need 1400 watts. Ours capture every watt and doesn't export anything to the grid...

Powerwall / battery storage: can you share how you use it with UK energy tariffs?

I disable the smart charging so I can charge via Solar during the day. If I keep it on Smart Charging, it will always charge at full rate, drawing from the battery/grid (Zappi integration). I do fortnightly let it do its thing for 24 hours to satisfy the T&C's. For that 24 hours, I'll adjust the...

Tesla App Waking up Car When Opened Directly to Tesla Energy Screen

I already have a ticket open with them with a mobile technician coming out next week.. not that it will help. Feel free to mention it's also happening to me. PM if you want to. Problem is the technicians either don't understand or think you don't understand. They also don't seem to listen to...

Wasn't just me then! The other week, twice after a roundabout I lost the AP computer.. No Auto indicators, AP or visuals. In service mode, the AP computer said Critical. Did a DAS reset and it came back. I have .8 now but not been using AP near any roundabouts.

    2024 Insurance Costs

My renewal has gone up over 100%. Last year £720 and this year is £1567. Quick look online and around £790 for a year so it has gone up but not a lot.

Powerwall / battery storage: can you share how you use it with UK energy tariffs?

Friend of mine has an AIO and I have 2x PW. More customisation with the AIO however you are correct with the BMS issues. Also, PW literally draw nothing from the grid when in use. Prior to the most recent PW update, I would draw 0.00kW from the grid if I had enough solar and battery. (Recent...

Tesla App Waking up Car When Opened Directly to Tesla Energy Screen

I have been onto Tesla via service and they say this has always been the normal behaviour and the app should always wake all cars in app when it’s opened so it has all up to date data. Trying to explain this is new behaviour was like talking to a brick wall. He just didn’t understand where I was...

Tesla App Waking up Car When Opened Directly to Tesla Energy Screen

I’ve noticed the latest app has this behaviour once again. I’m in the UK and we don’t have Charge on Solar so I don’t think it’s that. Anyone else seeing this behaviour?
