2018 Model 3 vs Highland battery tech

I believe there is room for charging improvement on the LG ncma battery. I could be wrong. Many have said I am wrong, however there's already been a charging speed improvement with a software update for the LG battery.... and Bjorn posted a video with graphs. My reason for thinking there's...

Charging rate of 2020 Raven vs 2023 and up refresh

And if you look at the graph I posted above both cars reach 250kw, one only does it for a split second so that doesn't mean much One of the loaner cars I got from tesla was a 2021 Ludacris and it did the red line on that graph, so it wasn't even new enough. The next one I got was a 2022 and it...

Charging rate of 2020 Raven vs 2023 and up refresh

I remember reading somewhere that the 402 mile long range doesn't support the faster charging, and the 405 mile range does, about timeline when the switch happened I don't remember

Charging rate of 2020 Raven vs 2023 and up refresh

heres the graph i remember. the long range didnt get the same independent cooling system for the battery like the plaid did at first. https://hips.hearstapps.com/hmg-prod/images/tesla-model-s-plaid-charging-1638896449.png

Charging rate of 2020 Raven vs 2023 and up refresh

Not relates but the busbars in the model 3 support 300kw supercharging, so I can only assume and hope newer vehicles do also. Won't know till tesla raises the 250kw limit

    Entire Supercharging Team Fired?

I dont remember where I heard that from either, I just remember it. It's a lot easier to replace an electrical motor than it is to replace an entire gas engine, and cheaper. There's in theory less to go wrong with the car, though my model s has proved otherwise.

    Entire Supercharging Team Fired?

Elon first sold me on the idea that teslas are supposed to be a forever car, but the newer ones they have made like the 4680 model y goes to show they want a forever replacement car where it becomes impossible to repair anything. 057 technologies said they tried to look at a 4680 battery model...

    Entire Supercharging Team Fired?

it varies by region, my power is cheaper in livermore vs what my buddies plan in antioch is. His rates are 46 cents off peak and 47 cents peak last time I checked. We have found out there's a maximum amount of money you can get charged with his plan, and I think it was $4500 or something and the...

    Entire Supercharging Team Fired?

pge did what they could to screw us on that too. my previous rates were off peak from 11pm to 7am, partial peak from 7-2 / 9-11 and peak from 2-9 they changed it to off peak midnight to 3pm partial peak from 3-4 / 9-midnight and peak from 4-9 so now when im not home not using electricity and...

    Entire Supercharging Team Fired?

Tesla isn't responsible for the price increases. Pge has done 2 rate hikes this year already, and what sucks to think about is we are on winter rates still. When things go over to summer rates it will get more expensive, making an electric car not as cost savings as the company would like you to...

    Entire Supercharging Team Fired?

I'm pretty worried about this too and makes me question purchasing more tesla products, and makes me further question the products I've already bought. But I was told to not worry about it, the team has been shifted to another department. Different focuses such as reliability and expanding...

Why the extremely large Supecharger sites?

So this is from a tesla employee, they are focusing on expanding current sites where congestion exists and less on new locations 😔 Things will ramp back up. Maybe elon is upset that he's made the promise to never need to wait at a charger and that isn't happening, so firing the entire team...

Superchargers in Northern California (location speculation)

this is what makes me worry about my fusc, maybe newer upcoming superchargers i wont have free supercharging anymore because they wont be tesla owned. luckily theres a pretty extensive network to get me almost anywhere, but it wont get me everywhere.

Superchargers in Northern California (location speculation)

i dunno, its just a guess. if its me id never want to work for tesla, and im kinda not really happy on the amount of money ive spent on their products because of stuff like this, yet i still keep buying their *sugar*. ugh.

Superchargers in Northern California (location speculation)

I think it's been open to other contractors to build out the supercharging network, so maybe it's cheaper to outsource the work, just my guess. Maybe they will hire more local companies to do work in areas where the new chargers are going.

Vibration/ rattle in backseat area of 2023 model 3

I took it apart and aside from the wire that does the window defrost and the piece I'm tapping on, the rest of the insides seem pretty solid, im adding a piece of felt on the plastic piece on the back, and maybe some double sided tape on the defrost wire and maybe it'll help. Can't upload the...

Why the extremely large Supecharger sites?

I hope gas stations don't shut down, I just hope they all convert over to fast charging stations. I'd love to see more supercharging stations with convenience stores and bathrooms, so we have something to do while we wait when charging
  20. V

Why the extremely large Supecharger sites?

Fair enough, and I'll also point out like with the baker station and electrify america had to build solar and battery backup in order to put their fast dc chargers there. I don't know who was there first, tesla or ea, but that's the companies way around the limits of the power company.
  21. V

Why the extremely large Supecharger sites?

Definitely not making this up, go be a troll somewhere else. I've spoken to property owners who told me this.
  22. V

Why the extremely large Supecharger sites?

Not sure if someone mentioned this but tesla is strategically maxing out the power company so it's extremely not cost efficient for a competitor to put chargers in nearby

What battery cells are in the 2023 M3 LR?

I purchased a 2023 model 3 and it has the LG m50f1a in it and it still qualified for the 7500 tax incentive, why did it go away this year?

What battery cells are in the 2023 M3 LR?

That would make the model 3 performance cheaper than the model 3 long range lol.

What battery cells are in the 2023 M3 LR?

Does this include discharge as well as charging? With the recently announced model 3 highland performance with supposedly using the same battery as the long range model 3, it has a better 0-60 than the ones with nca battery, only 0.2 seconds but if ncma performance sucks maybe the new car will...

Car autoconnects to WiFi at supercharger?

Good point. Would be nice if they made an open wifi for us to pay with the stupid app. Maybe let us have access through the app? I'm so lost with finding rattles in my car, ill try almost anything now. How'd you remove the piece? I also found a rattle in this piece by the feet on the front door, you get to it by removing a smaller piece above it by the dashboard, and I forgot how I did it after that, i think i removed...

Supercharger - Okeechobee, FL (Yeehaw Junction)

It really doesn't matter what you do, if the reporter did research they could add to their statement but they didn't, they left it very general. What I do doesn't matter either but I also charge to 100% and the longer I'm driving for the closer to 0% I get each charger because I don't have...

Supercharger - Okeechobee, FL (Yeehaw Junction)

the reporter is not incorrect. the reporter said it takes an hour to get a full charge. when have you experienced a 0-100% in less than an hour? my model s takes about an hour and 10 minutes maybe the lfp batteries and the cars who have their charging restricted from actual pack 100% take less...

    Free FSD for 1 Month

This free trial justifies me not spending money on fsd, I can't let it go for longer than a minute without it pissing me off. It does not know how to do stop signs or right on red. New 85kWH battery for my 2013 P85+

Here's a video I made with the c variant. It never really reaches 120kw unless the battery is hot and plug in around 40% I've seen it hold 100kw up to 56%, and feel like charging speeds aren't very consistent, however it's astronomically better than the old throttled battery, and better than the...

Stalk or no stalk argument [not] settled

i think i would be more ok with the way these turning signals are, compared to how tesla handled it. i drove around for many hours, approximately 500 miles in a day when i had a loaner car, and once it got dark, i stopped signaling.

Supercharger - Lost Hills, CA - Highway 46E (permit applied)

As for power, I met one of the property owners in Oregon, Tesla originally put a permit in for many more than the 8 chargers they were allowed for the location, and the power company ultimately limited them, so they maxed out the power company. He's the one that told me they are trying to do...

I at first said this when they put 56 chargers in Firebaugh, and again at Coalinga with 80 chargers, but here's the thing. Tesla is letting basically everyone use their chargers starting either this year or next year like 1100mcm said, and I've also found out that Tesla wants to max out the...
