FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

It's definitely possible, and that's what's great because that's how a human would drive. V11 would have for sure frozen up there.

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

To be clear, the car DIDNT creep into an uncomfortable part of the traffic lane. Humans mostly do. The other driver yielded for an unspecific reason. I believe because they'd seem us sitting there stopped and felt inclined to "be nice". So actually fsd handled it better than most people who...

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Very cool behavior by 12.3.4 tonight. I was making a left at this T. The car came to a complete stop and then inched forward for visibility. A car approached from the right and indicated it was going to turn LEFT onto the road I was on. At this intersection a lot of the people who have the right...

    Will legacy ever see V12?

Do OG Model 3s with HW3 have MCU2 or MCU3? I'm desperate to understand what technically is different other than the cabin camera between these cars. I have been following V12 since day 0 and I'm sooooo frustrated with Tesla's lack of giving a *sugar*.

Model X front end creaking when turning

While stopped or any time? Mine , a 2020, makes a squeak when turning left at 0 speed. Probably cv?

What is the oldest Tesla to get FSD Free Trial?

2020 x with hw3 and FSD. No 12 for us yet. Incredibly pissed off to say the least.
  7. N

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

I'm thinking it's less uss based and more cabin camera based. There are hw3 model 3/Y with uss who are getting v12.
  8. N

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

The 2023 rollout cars had plenty of hw3 x and s. But how do you know if they were legacy cars or refreshes with interior cams? Edit: just expanded that and saw no pre refresh cars. I'm getting concerned.
  9. N

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

I'm too late for that, I upgraded to 2024 before I knew there would be delay. I wonder if the lack of interior camera is a problem? I'd be royally pissed off if for whatever reason the Hw3 cars weren't eligible for v12. I'm completely speculating but that's the only difference I could think of.

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Am I reading it right that no model s/x with ap3 have gotten the 2024 branch of fsd12 according to teslafi?

Rear Camber arms option - Hardrace

Hard race is a reputable company, and the price is right. I would not personally trust any of these odd brand ones on Ali express.
  12. N

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

My wife has had basic AP for 5 years. 5! Rarely uses it. I sit in the passenger seat as we cruise on the highway in pure disbelief
  13. N

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Did someone here say non interior camera cars, i.e. legacy X, would not get 12? Sounds far fetched

Deep dent in hood: is it repairable without having to repaint the whole hood?

A hood repaint can't be more than like, what, $1200? I had my rear quarter and bumper painted for $1900
  15. N

Model X paint quality - rock chips

My 2020 has some road chips on the hood and I would say also rear quarters down below where the fwd open. The hood I would say 97% are front 1/4 of the hood. Non on the nose where your license plate would go.

Anyone running 275s in the front?

I hadn't thought about that. Very low doesn't stick like the other modes. Got it.

Anyone running 275s in the front?

That makes a lot of sense. Thanks for the insight
  18. N

Anyone running 275s in the front?

I don't get the need for lowering links. I run stock low with adjustable camber and toe arms. Your car doesn't look much lower than mine....couldn't someone run on very low if they wanted to? Like what's the benefit I'm missing
  19. N

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Thanks. Do most people not install updates when they're made available or was this just people being smart about getting v12 "early"? I feel foolish
  20. N

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Is there any hope for people on a 2024 version?

Rear Camber arms option - Hardrace

Finally installed and aligned (stock LOW setting). Install wasn't particularly difficult at all but it was time consuming. Maybe me and my friends are slow. Went to a specialty alignment shop and they did have to redo my rear camber anyways. Apparently I goofed it up even with the digital angle...

Rear Camber arms option - Hardrace

I'm hesitant to support the car with 3ton jack while I install both camber and toe arms. Is there any issues using a jack stand and then compressing the suspension using the jack for tightening and measuring camber? I guess I can tighten with this method then swap jack stand for jack when...

    Yeah stock 20s

Anyone running 275s in the front?

I run Goodyear 275/45ZR20 all around. No issues.
  25. N

Rear Camber arms option - Hardrace

Cool. I'll do 1 side at a time, with the jack stand, using the jack itself to lift the suspension. Appreciate you man, thanks for this thread and ongoing thoughtful responses to all our questions
  26. N

Rear Camber arms option - Hardrace

If Im using a jack stand there's no reason I can't jack UP the control arm vs lowering the car onto a block or second jack? Zeroing out the digital angle finder in the trunk floor first.
  27. N

Rear Camber arms option - Hardrace

Thanks for taking the time to reply. If I understand correctly, it'll be best to just put car in low, turn on jack mode, and go from there? I intend to put the rear on jack stands so I can work on both sides. I intend to use my jack to compress the suspension to the pre measured low height so I...

Rear Camber arms option - Hardrace

Installing this weekend. This might be a stupid question but as long as I measure the height of the wheel hub when in low (my desired suspension height for the alignment to follow) and subsequently lift the suspension with my jack when tightening/measuring camber on the rotors as recommended...

Rear Camber arms option - Hardrace

Going to tackle the Hard Race install with adj toe arms in a few weeks on my X. I do intend to go at the initial 290mm with the arms and checking camber using the digital measure mentioned earlier in this thread. I will def take the car to a very local (<1m) alignment shop to set the toe, since...

    PA or NJ alignment shops?

I'm going to install the adjustable camber and toe arms on my Model x soon and I need a good alignment shop that won't bust my balls about getting the car straightened up. Local fire stones and Goodyear shops are scared to death of it, I've asked around.

Who put that *%^#^ Bike Pump there?! 😡

Pay no attention to that person they're being a jackass. We pay good money for these vehicles and yes even a scratch can upset the balance.

Help or question re PPF situation with Installer

Tell them you don't want to escalate to small claims but that you will unless they refund or can produce your signature on a contract specifically stating the deposit was non refundable. Be firm but polite. Tell them you expect a reply by x date.
  34. N

Help or question re PPF situation with Installer

If you didn't sign a contract saying it's non refundable, then it's refundable and I'd take them to small claims to get my money back. Even a letter from the court usually will get them to just refund in lieu of a legal battle. Take screenshots of the website etc in case they change it after...

5 yr-old Model 3 smoother than brand new Model X

That's interesting...I have some overall vibration on acceleration (not shudder/half shaft related) and Tesla attributed it to a poorly roadforce scoring set of tires (Goodyear's). Basically 2 of my 4 tires are not optimally round or whatever, and that's a manufacturing thing on Goodyear. I'm...

I think some 2021 pre refresh do have them

Who put that *%^#^ Bike Pump there?! 😡

I wouldn't. I like touchupdirect too because their kits come with a clear as well. Not too pricey. If you're really trying to fix it, buy the right product.

Website that makes really good chip repair systems.
  40. N

5 yr-old Model 3 smoother than brand new Model X

Definitely do a roadforce balance and check alignment as well since they come *sugar* out of the factory and the in-spec ranges are huge.

2021 Infotainment with upgrade vs 2022 model y

Hi. Model 3 owner and 2020 raven model x owner here. The entertainment system is as responsive as the model 3. I actually like the vertical orientation considering the x has an instrument cluster behind the steering wheel. It works very well for the map and other stuff I want on the vertical...

Who put that *%^#^ Bike Pump there?! 😡

Unless it's super deep, a bit of compound with a orbital buffer should get that right out. If not, Dr chip fix is $45 and worth it.

Rear Camber arms option - Hardrace

Oh wow this was 100% not working for me 2 weeks ago and now is. I thought they had taken it down but you're right.

Thanks that's helpful. Where can I get the torque specs? Seems like the Tesla manual isn't available for free anymore

Should app say when raven cabin is preheated?

I have that set. I get alerts all the time just not for the thermostat on the x.
  47. N

Should app say when raven cabin is preheated?

My model 3 tells me via the app when the cabin temperature has reached the temp I've set. My model x doesn't (2020). Is this expected behavior?
  48. N

Can anyone confirm this will fit my X?

Not sure tbh but why not just chrome delete? Costs like next to nothing. Anyways too late now but if your new piece doesn't fit that's what I'd recommend. I did my whole car from tesbros and it looks awesome. Ps I left my Tesla letters in chrome but it does come w vinyl for them too if you want...

Half shafts and wheel hubs replaced...now minor tire vibration. Alignment needed?

For what it's worth the tech, who's worked on my car before and really cares, said he doesn't feel anything different. I went ahead and still had them roadforce balance. Two of the wheels were off badly. Two also were pretty poor on the roadforce score, but that's a Goodyear manufacturing issue...

Rear Camber arms option - Hardrace

I just had Tesla align the beast. I'm unsure why they didn't dial in toe on the rear as well. It was wayyyyy off before. I wonder if that's as good as it gets.
