Around The World in 80 Days With a Tesla Roadster

This site may earn commission on affiliate links.
In May of 2012, the longest standard electric car journey to circumvent the globe in 80 days began, with Tesla Roadster, VIN 507.

Rafael de Mestre, the first person who travelled around the world with an electric car, will be touring the United States with his iconic Tesla Roadster Circumnavigator.

To make this experience even more special, we are extending an invitation to all Tesla enthusiasts who would like to meet Rafael and see the Tesla Roadster in person.

If you are available to engage in a meaningful discussion with Rafael, simply reach out to me directly by WhatsApp +40 724 474 833 or email [email protected] . I'll be more than happy to coordinate opportunities for you to see the car and arrange meetings with Rafael during his visit.

Do any Tesla Roadster owners in the US have a High Power Charger (HPC) for fast charging the Tesla Roadster? It would be immensely helpful for the upcoming trip around the world.

The Roadster will arrive in Hamburg June 8th 2024 at the finish line where it started.
In the meantime the email and phone number changed.
People wanting to get in touch are welcome to contact +49 173 8876602 via What's App or [email protected].

The 4th around the world is running in parallel planning to arrive mid of June in Miami and arrive July 4th around New York to join the independence day parade there. Welcome to inspire us where we shall make a stop with the 400.000 miles driven Model S driving the second time around the world with his second battery and a Model 3 from CZ who is driving with three children around the world to show: Everything seems impossible until it's done.
Welcome to join for some miles on our trip and get an official 80edays car flag!

I would recommend the Enphase/Clipper Creek CS-100:
You may be able to get them to swap out the connector with a Roadster-specific one if they still have them available. Otherwise you'll need a J-1772 -to- Roadster adapter which can be tough to find as well.
