Wow what an amazing animation. In the 70’s and 80’s the USSR had an incredible number of orbital launches before fading in the 90’s. Then in the past 3 years SpaceX dominated.

Kenya. The Italians ran launches from an offshore platform. The last launch was 1988 and it isn't used anymore.

I saw one that had just SpaceX launches to demonstrate, the upswing in cadence... it goes from an occasional pop to a machine gun...

I'm sure it did, but in engineering obscura arcana. This is the latest statement from NASA:

the “computer ground launch sequencer not loading into the correct operational configuration after proceeding into terminal count.”

Could be a bug. Could be a computer hardware fault. Could be a sensor error. We'll find out.

“Work to understand why” = root cause investigation. The SW trips on the symptom/effect.
