SpaceX Will Attempt Second Mission in a Week Today

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Today, SpaceX will attempt its second launch and land of a Falcon 9 rocket, this time from Cape Canaveral, Florida. The launch is scheduled for 6:53 p.m. ET.

The rocket being used for the mission is recycled, having flown prior missions to space and landed safely on one of SpaceX’s drone ships. It’s the third time SpaceX has sent a rocket out on a second flight.

Today’s mission will carry a hybrid satellite that will be used by two companies, SES and EchoStar. The EchoStar 105/SES-11 satellite will orbit 22,000 miles above Earth, delivering high-definition broadcasts to the U.S. and other parts of North America.

SpaceX on Tuesday carried out a successful mission to deliver a satellite into orbit for communications company Iridium.
