Tesla’s most recent software update adds a unique feature that tames the car’s acceleration. Tesla is calling the new drive mode “Chill,” an appropriate contrast from previously released performance modes called “Insane” and “Ludicrous.”
According to the 2017.44 update notes, Chill mode makes acceleration more gradual and “ideal for smoother driving and a gentler ride for your passengers.”
The software upate also added an ‘Easy Entry’ feature that’s designed to make getting in and out of the driver’s seat easier. When you park, the steering wheel and driver’s seat will automatically adjust, then adjust back to the recent driving profile when the driver returns and steps on the brake.
