Tesla’s Next-Generation Roadster Spotted at HQ

Tesla’s next-generation Roadster is currently on display at the company’s headquarters in Palo Alto, Calif., according to a Reddit post from Tesla employee and TMC member Casey_S.

In a post titled “We have a visitor at work today,” Casey_S noted that he was allowed to post the photos, but doesn’t know anything more about plans for the car.

The Roadster prototype was last seen in January being driven in Malibu by Tesla’s Chief Designer Franz von Holzhausen. The car seemingly had troubles on the drive and TMC member Cfinck managed to capture a few photos of the striking sports car stopped in the middle of the street.

Production for the new Roadster is slated for 2020. You can reserve one now for $50,000 towards the $200,000 base price. Tesla says the base model will do 0-60 in 1.9 seconds, making it the first production vehicle to crack two-seconds.
