Tesla will begin taking orders next week for the dual motor and performance versions of the Model 3, CEO Elon Musk said in a tweet.
The cars will go into production in July, he said. The option for air suspension, however, will not be made available until next year.

Those who have already configured a Model 3 have had few options – Long Range battery pack, rear-wheel-drive, and the premium interior package. Many TMC members who have been invited to configure their car have said that they’re holding out for the dual-motor version.
Musk previously said that Tesla would begin producing the dual-motor car once production hit 5,000 vehicles per week, which is expected to occur at the end of Q2.
Musk did not offer details on pricing or specs for the dual motor and performance versions, so it will be interesting to see when invites go out next week.
