Tesla Hikes Price on Model 3, Model Y Variants

Tesla has bumped the price on certain variants of the Model and Model Y, as well as its flagship Model S.

According to Tesla’s configurator, the Model 3 Standard Range Plus now starts at $37,490, an increase of $500. The Long Range Dual Motor AWD Model 3 also received a $500 hike, now starting at $46,490. The Model 3 Performance remains $55,990. The price of the Model Y Long Range Dual Motor AWD increased by $1,000 to $49,990.

Tesla’s flagship Model S Plaid+ sedan received a significant price increase of $10,000, meaning it now starts at $149,990.

Tesla regularly tinkers with its pricing, which can be frustrating for consumers wondering if they’re buying at the right time. Tesla plays a similar game with pricing on its Full Self-Driving software.

Tesla did not offer an explanation for the recent price adjustment.
