Fifth Price Increase Hits Model 3, Model Y

Another price change has hit the Model 3 and Model Y.

Tesla has now increased the price of the vehicles five times in the last few months. Tesla has not offered an explanation for the fluctuation.

The latest increase adds $500 to the Tesla’s Model 3 Standard Range Plus and Model 3 Long Range AWD. The Tesla Model Y Long Range AWD also received a $500 price increase.

Here are the new prices for the vehicles:

  • Model 3 Standard Range Plus – $39,990
  • Model 3 Long Range AWD – $48,990
  • Model Y Long Range AWD – $51,990

The continued increases are starting to add up to meaningful money for some models – $2,500 for the Long Range AWD version. Tesla dropped Model 3 and Model Y prices in February and March, then increased Model 3 prices in late March. April brought two increases for all Model 3 and Model Y versions, then another bump in early May.
