So are your CV joint vendors and tire vendors. Definitely get the staggered 21 wheels so the tire warranty is limited to 8000 miles! It great to get new tires every year so they are fresh.

Tire warranty = keep multiple sets of extras on hand

Yeah, i just went to check different coverage and the LR was over $2000/year cheaper than the plaid.

That's like 10 days of plaid rental on Turo!

I have a plaid which I use as drag race car and it is modded

I also have a 22mslr which is daily

Acceleration is more
than enough for street on the LR BUT the plaid is more visceral

Odd. I got basically the same quotes for both. About $800/year more than my prior model 3 performance.

Of course as a Plaid driver you would notice the difference in the punch. But for anyone else - any car that does 60 in, say 3 seconds, and a quarter in less than 11, is going to feel sooo fast compared a non-performance car.

I decided not to buy a LHD drive Plaid here in the UK (wrong side of the road) after an extended test drive. Of course it punched harder than my Raven performance (night and day above 60), but you don’t really care unless it’s back-to-back or you are racing and see the Plaid pull away, especially if you aren’t the sort that goes pedal to metal every time.

LR is practical and fast and plenty of speed. You won’t be unhappy with the LR.

But … you’ll be happier with a Plaid. My $0.02

Mine is not limited to 130. I’ve hit just sub-150 at the track. Don’t have track package, but I do have the Arachnids (as well as aftermarket wheels, but use the arachnids at the track).

I have a 2023 (April) Plaid. I should probably update/create a signature.

This is my first S (second Tesla, first was a Y). Even though I've basically taken a bath on the purchase price, I am keeping this thing at least through the warranty so I figure it's all a wash in terms of sunk cost.

I think it’s got to be at least 155 since they don’t make the paid hardware disclaimer about the claimed trap speed (which is 155). But this is Tesla so who knows if they made an oversight.

It's limited to 165ish normally, or 173 in track mode.
