Are you saying that it is not going into Hold or that the option that allows you to turn it off is gone?
The later is true,
Hold still works and I believe that the removal of the option to disable was intentional and not expected to be added back.
I have a clue.
But first, when you come back to me with a snide remark about what I said, remember, it was only a response to yours.
I've been driving FSD for years, both me and my wife, I don't think that we've EVER had FSD at all. Let me take that back, she said "once" and that's because...
Tesla is staying on the side of safety at this point. It's better slow and sure than fast and dead.
Yellow signs with posted speeds are not Speed Limits, they are caution signs.
My answer was in response to a steering wheel melting. There isn't any way that elevated interior temperatures is going to do that. Steering wheel plastics would probably have to go well above 400F before having any issues.

But two weeks isn't really a significant wait for service.
I think that my CCS update took 3 weeks to schedule.
That's what I was alluding to. FSD works off of the highway, so on a long trip, FSD doesn't help you between the cities, only once you exit the Interstates.
So if you want to experience FSD, that's best done when you aren't mostly on the Interstate.
