    Service Center Nightmares

Tesla service is notorious for booking an appointment, not having parts at the appointment, not doing work for days, and then finishing rapidly and wanting the loaner back promptly. They will not notate about your plans for the vehicle or events in your personal life like important work or...

Need help on "Free Unlimited Supercharging for Life"...

I would check the charging log. If they transferred the car over to themselves and have app access and the charge/battery icon subscreen shows supercharging visits with $0, the probability is high that the FUSC is tied to the car. You can also look at the app and see it under Specs and...

Smelly stinky socks / mold in Model 3 AC

Into the air intake in the frunk. Turned my fan to max. I opened the frunk and find the air intake to the back left. Microban comes out in a fine mist. Very short bursts of microban every 20 seconds or so trying to keep the microban from getting to thick, runny, drippy internal and letter...

Smelly stinky socks / mold in Model 3 AC

I used microban spray in my car a few years ago. Sprayed, vented, sprayed, vented x 3. Changed filters. Odor went away and has never returned. Of note, I noticed the odor devlop after adding an intake filter. Remove that if you are using one of those.

Warranty expiring on 2019 Model 3 - what to check?

A service center appoint is not advised. They will replace your wipers, check your washer fluid, and that's about it for $400 annual service. I would look for an independent shop but it might be good to also go into service mode and check yourself for any errors.

    Rear damage

Paintless options won't work becuase that is too deep so just find a third party repair person to patch, paint to match, and blend the clearcoat.

Model 3 rear ended [is my car totaled]

Sorry to hear about this. At least you are physically OK and your armor protected you. The rear quarter panel isn't a great place to get hit. There is almost always frame damage requiring extensive framework. Likely more than $15k in damages there plus another $1000 for your rear bumper...

Garage smoke detectors and home insurance for home charging.

Yes. I had to install a heat detector n 2019, but it was regardless of electric car use or charging. It was required back then and likely randomly required by various insurance companies.

    FSD now $99 a month

Not super happy for myself. Happy for latecomers I guess. I've had a model x with AP1 which was forgotten and two FSD cars. It appears I bought tickets to Mars for future passengers...

M3 HV won’t charge [car bought at auction]

I used a Black and Decker BC25BD to run a Model S computer with a defective DCDC converter, and it worked quite well so it might run enough of the components in the M3. That said, I would as others have said, I would in your case, disconnect the 12 V from the car and just try to charge it...

    FSD Camera upgrade - charge?

Not similar at all really. Tesla sold FSD as a promise of technology with a promise to upgrade if needed. Your box PC was sold once and everyone involved in the sale walked away and made no promises that future software or hardware would exist for your computer.

    FSD Camera upgrade - charge?

I would push back too. It's only $40. They charges us a lot and still haven't delivered FSD fully even in Beta. They can eat it.

Model Y-Small dent on lift gate

Definitely worth finding a highly rated paintless dent repair person nearby. They are usually mobile and can meet on site, estimate, and perform the work (tamping/pulling/etc). It may not be perfect but it may end up very close. One other issue is that insurance may not pay this route and if...

    2025 Roadster per Elon

Still waiting on my Sig S lighted vanity mirrors and rear seat lighting 11+ years later ... The new roadster is even farther behind than the 2010 err 2012 S in terms of prototype to actual release.

Burning 25ft 10/3 cords using my mobile connector in the rain with a 120v outside GFCI outlet

Lower the amps by 10%. Check your outlet with an outlet tester. It may not be grounded or wired properly. Check your GFCI. If not installed or working, add one at that outlet. Use an outside box to seal the connection and to store your Mobile Charger like this one...
