I see tons of posts about peoples trade in offers expriing, but for me, mine has just been in a pending state since I ordered. I asked about this through the chat and they said they won't provide a trade in value until a VIN is assigned. Is this the norm now?

People who ordered the car in bright colors: "the car looks best in bright colors!" People who ordered the car in dark colors: "the car looks best in dark colors!" This is a debate that cannot be won, lol.

I know this might ruffle some feathers since it accounts for like 50% of the orders, but I’m not really digging this car in stealth gray. Just doesn’t seem like a good fit to me. Every other color looks outstanding though.

It’s fine if someone doesn’t want to spend the money and/or can’t afford it, but don’t spread crazy misinformation about bugs damaging it, lol. I had a literal golf ball sized stone bounce off my hood and after a little wax to the PPF there was zero damage anywhere.

For my two previous Tesla orders, it was always “West coast prioritized beginning of quarter, then everyone else in the middle of Q, then West Coast again at EOQ”. This one is interesting though as we are a month away from EOQ and they are obviously prioritizing all West Coast orders now...

Mine has been anchored at 7/16-8/27 for weeks now. Just gonna be of the mindset that I’m not seeing this thing before July.

Never understood why they don’t at least offer black calipers as an option. Red on a different shade of red just looks silly.

Has anyone that placed an order after the first day gotten a VIN yet? Looking exceedingly like anyone that wasn't on that first day or two will have to wait until next quarter.

We don't necessarily need to, but the promotional interest rate, tax credit, etc. make it enticing. Our 2021 is also an SR RWD so the AWD and extra range would be nice.

I was just about to pull the trigger on a new Y to replace our 2021, but it looks like the Shanghai changes (new dash, ambient lighting, etc.) are hitting the US now (link below). That said, is it wise to order now that these are so close to release...

Have to assume these include the new ambient lighting, dash materials etc. as well. I would definitely be hesitant about taking anything from inventory right now knowing that these are here.

Very much reminds me of the ordering / EDD chaos during the peak covid era. It was literally thunderdome back then for anyone that wasn't lucky enough to be a part of it ;)

Just walked out of my local dealer since it is down the street from where I work. SA said not to expect mine until at least July, but most likely August (I ordered on 4/29).
