Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
They will most likely do them in batches, maybe there are fewer overall orders with white interior, so they are getting them out first. Probably see an influx of black interiors next week, wishful thinking I know :)
I had the same feeling as you, it definitely felt faster than my 2019 M3P. But there is a post flying around saying that it felt slower than his old M3P.
It's strange, most people that have driven the new M3P are saying it feels faster.
I'm in Australia, so I highly doubt doing this will affect me in anyway. My EDD is July-Sep, hopefully it happens in this date range. I had white interior my last M3P, but this time going black.
I just hope that deliveries go smoothly for us Aussies. Looking forward to seeing all the folk here post pics, times and just all the real-world reviews.
Will be interested to see your review when you drive it. I, like most others have said it definitely feels faster off the line and when doing pulls. And it does push you back into the seat, unless I just imagined all those things, but I don't think I did.
The red one at the front is a performance, I can see the black front chin splitter, but the others seem to not be performance models. The white ones are definitely not performance models. Unless they are strange with white front chin splitters.
Going by that image for the Shanghai build, that's 540hp. I would have though the motors would push more than that. I will patiently wait for you folk in the US to test drive it with your dragy's and let us k now real-world figures :)
I don't even have one, I just use the rear end gforce meter and how hard my insides try to break out and of course the head tilt to see if I black out when accelerating 🤣🤣
Well, after driving the new M3P and comparing to my 2019 MP3 I think it will get close. It is noticeably quicker off the line, and it does pull harder. We will find out soon.
Couldn't do much in fear of getting pulled over, but did an acceleration from around 50km/h to 110km/h. Didn't detect any drop off in acceleration up to that speed, the problem was it covers that gap in nothing, it felt instant probably due to the fact my insides moved from my front to back – it...
Test drive in Australia.
Acceleration is BRUTAL – I nearly made myself sick. Definitely notably faster than the previous one off the line and definitely at the limits of traction on the slightly damp road this morning.
I did yes, it was the one in Selenite Grey with the hyper screen and ceramic breaks, all the bells and whistles.
Have not checked online, all sold out now really?
I am not sure, but I think you are either blind to your hate of the EQE or just want to argue for the sake of arguing.
Worse handling and acceleration? Handles better than my M3P and the flaoty Model S. 3.18s 0-100 is not worse lol.
Here I thought that we are all EV fans, but I see you just...
No need to keep replying to him, he obviously has a dislike of the EQE or Mercs in general.
Bottom line is, the EQE is so much better than anything Tesla has it's not even fair to compare them. When I read some of his comments, its easy to see that he has a massive dislike of anything that is...
You won't be disappointed; the 53 AMG handles better than the M3P and drives much better. I drove the EQE 53 AMG yesterday and I have now cancelled my Plaid order. The build quality, looks, interior the crazy hyper screen and ceramic breaks etc etc. are just a complete package for me. Also...
Went into the Benz dealer today and sat in the EQS, which is pretty similar to the EQE and the interior is miles, and I mean MILES ahead of anything Tesla has. The graphite grey with the AMG pack is beautiful. Sure, it's not as fast as the Plaid, but it is a much better car overall, to me...
If this is the case, it's probably close to the estimates. I am torn though; I really like the EQE 53AMG and currently I am in the mindset of whichever arrives first I will get.
Plaid is in Europe, so as they say, 6 to 12 months from now for Australian orders.

All this Twitter nonsense has left a sour taste for me. I mean, I really like Tesla, have many shares in the company but another year or 2 wait for the Plaid is something that I can't stomach. Probably as I am getting older, I have less patience.
