Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
This is ridiculous. All seasons are the best choice the majority of people. As I said offer a no cost AST option on the M3P and I’ll bet you $20 that that the take rate is 75 percent or higher. This forum is hardly representative of the average buyer.
It wasn’t above freezing and frequently isn’t in the northeast. And those summer rated tires have very clear warnings about low temps. The point isn’t really about the drive home; it’s about selling the car in mid winter with no tire alternative. I’ll be if offered an AST, 75 percent or more...
I took delivery of my m3p in January of 2021. It was 20 degrees. They shouldn’t be allowed to sell you a car with summer tires on it under those conditions. The Audi dealer in town makes you sign a waiver if you decline to change the tires out. Would offering an AST option be such a difficult...
Looks like a solid upgrade and zero to complain about. The suspension improvements have me most intrigued as that was the old P's biggest weakness. Congrats to those placing orders. I don’t qualify for tax credits so I’ll wait for these to hit the used market where the credit will be baked...
It won’t. It’s a niche car. The press will be all over it. Lots of YouTube’s and magazine articles but it won’t register as more than a blip otherwise. Probably best for us here that it stays under the radar anyway.
Originally you had to lease and buyout to get the $7500. Now they are doing a straight 5k rebate and you can stack incentives. In short you should be able to get 10 percent off msrp plus 5000 to 7500 in cash/lease incentives. 60 to 62k for a 75k msrp i4 m50 is very doable.
I cross shopped and ended up with an i4m50. With current discounts and incentives they are available for about 60k new. Yes is still higher than a m3 but for me I appreciate the improved suspension and traditional car like feel of the BMW. It looks and drives like a BMW and it’s still stupid...
I wasn’t the one making bold statements about zero to 60 times - you were. I was responding to you. Now after making those statements you are saying 0 to 60 doesn’t even matter? Talk about a bizarre series of posts. I’ll bet you $100 it doesn’t do it in 2.2 as you predict. If I’m wrong, I’ll...
Cars are not investments. If this about money, keep it. Cars are emotional for me. Time for something new. The new M3P is looking like it may be better than the current Model S LR. I’d probably wait and choose between as used SLR and a M3P Highland.
Price looks right. I’d dial back those times a bit. Maybe 2.8-2.9, 11.0. The real draw is an improved suspension. That’s worth the price of admission alone.
Can’t speak for the EVO but the cheapest m50 I’ve seen is about 60k. Perhaps if you custom order a base model. Also to get the $7500 you have to lease and then flip to a buy or hold as a lease. Nothing insurmountable but it’s a hassle.
see above. I watch them closely. Most msrp for $75k. I’ve...
I know what you were referring to. He said he wished the m3p had a hatch like they i4. He didn’t invite anyone (you) to comment on the weight of the i4 which had absolutely nothing to do with what he said. You might as well have responded to his comment by saying the sky is blue. Both would be...
Since when can’t we have opinions here? I appreciate you telling me why I think something looks fast and mean, but believe it or not im perfectly capable of forming my own opinions. I think its looks fast and mean because to me it does! The m3p highland pictured above certainly doesn’t. Since...
Per usual you completely took my post out of context. My post was referring to a hypothetical nonexistent m3p that had a trimotor setup that was faster than a model s. And yes, if Tesla builds that car I would PERSONALLY find it unacceptable to look like the picture above (and so would Elon)...
Yeah, I actually think it does. Every time I see one on the road it's similar to me seeing a Porsche. It's getting long in the tooth but they have a ton of presence. They do in fact look mean and fast to me. I didn't say anything about wings or exhausts so I'm not sure why you brought that...
lol. I don’t think I’d pay 85k for a model 3 ludicrous because I can’t afford 85k period. But if they truly went nuts with a tri-motor beast I’d definitely pay 65k maybe 70.
I think this is wishful thinking unless the M3P powertrain remains unchanged. If that’s the case I could see that price. But people are talking about the N at 65k plus ADMs. Tesla is not leaving that kind of cheese on the table so you can get the tax credit. As others have predicted, a 650hp...
At the risk of getting proclaimed a fanboy, the i4 m50 strikes a perfect balance of sporty but not harsh. The rear air suspension clearly helps. But the difference between it and the M3P is night and day. Probably the best part of the car.
It’s not that it’s too stiff. It’s that it’s a terrible suspension. Stiff doesn’t have to equal harsh. My 2021 M3P had a brutal suspension. It was downright awful. Worst part of the car. Apparently this has been improved in highland.
I don’t have any insight one way or the other. But it seems very strange that Reddit would care. The mods can do whatever they want. It looks like it was removed by the mods. Is it still up in elon owned Twitter?
I don’t think Tesla legal has any control over Reddit. Can’t imagine Reddit bowing to anyone. It’s a public forum. That said the moderators might pull it if they thought it was a fake and misleading.
Looks pretty legit to me. Front looks like there is a little lip spoiler. Seems to be about right for predictions on changes. I guess it could be fake?
Just a bunch of rumors flying around that it will be “special”. No details. Everything is speculation at this point. It’s reasonable to expect it will outperform the current M3P by some margin. But it gets tricky with the model s and plaid in the mix so where Tesla draws the line on balance in...
Does this sound like anyone you might know?
“Building Customer Loyalty Through a Common Enemy
One thing that helped set Apple apart from other computer brands was its ability to create an enemy in the minds of consumers. Renowned psychologist Henri Tajfel discovered that by establishing minor...
I don’t think anyone knows at this point but it’s doubtful it will come in under the limit me thinks. The current LR is $50,000 making it seem difficult to think the highland M3P will be under $55,000 at least to start.
What “misinformation” pray tell. Then stop responding to me. Problem solved. Apparently you can make up theories about why Tesla raises prices but I can’t question your unsupported unsubstantiated speculation? You’re the guy quoting m3p times after ripping out your seats and interior parts and...
