Are you talking about the 40-50mph light throttle vibration? I honestly don’t even feel that anymore after the sw update. However my car does vibrate at full throttle only on certain road surfaces. On others its dead smooth. I can’t understand it.

The entire concept of FSD when you have so many external factors is just wrong to implement. FSD can become a reality when humans are no longer driving and all cars can be connected on an internet grid along with all lights.

Yep, you have to wonder if they even own a plaid claiming that. Its an extremely sophisticated TC system and really nothing like a traditional system. I also don’t think there’s any evidence lucid tc system is better. I believe they use a bosch system as they couldn’t figure it out themselves

I don’t buy it. Plaid is a different beast in warm/hot temps. Plaids TC can be extremely insidious and you won’t “feel” anything but you’ll be slower.

I’ve been mulling this over as well. With the giant price cuts financially its not a terrible deal (id never buy fsd). The issue is you’re entering a panel lottery like you’re buying a crappy samsung tv. You don’t know if you’re car will be put together correctly, if it will be aligned correctly...

Its obviously not directly related but there’s a hardware or software change which resulted in the vibration. There’s certainly some preliminary evidence the newer plaid is slower than the original in the 1/4 mile

I’m convinced Tesla nerfed the plaids after 21 MY and has something to do with the startup vibration that only happens on 22+. New ones aren’t even trapping 150 anymore.

Im genuinely hoping Tesla never sends me the update. I don’t want the fsd. I actually find the 12-15k price tag for FSD insulting. Tesla should take that amount off the car price to test the product for them and provide data.

Do you all think Tesla will ever update the tooling for the MS so the car is built in a much more uniform fashion? The model S is such a fantastic car overall but I’d be hard pressed to buy another knowing how much variation there is from car to car. Model 3 seems to be put together much better.

Also interested. Whenever I back out of my driveway which somewhat contorts to the vehicle I get this terrible creaking noise that I swear is coming from the backseat. It’s not related to the latch rattle that’s a different issue.

If your door is correctly aligned I wouldn’t worry about it.

That’s nice, however Tesla is fixing a problem they created. Never once in years of owning vehicles have I had to wonder if I could open my door.

Look at the refreshed Taycan. The car raises 2” almost instantly when the door is opened.
