Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
I wish I could get this done on my 2018 Model 3. Really fed up with how inconsistent the Hannshow kit is sometimes. I can't even do the trunk harness recall because I have an aftermarket trunk motor. My trunk button no longer works.
This thread is for the general discussion of the marketplace listing [Selling] Ingenext Ghost Module for Model 3 with Intel Atom - CA$2800. Please add to the discussion here.
I was doing my annual maintenance on my cabin air filter and discovered that the “HEPA” type filter I bought on Amazon was disintegrating inside my cabin air filter compartment.
The type of filter I purchased is quite common on Amazon and goes by many different brands. The one I purchased is by...
It shouldn’t matter what CCS adapter you buy. All the new ones are just passive electrical connections plus a thermal sensor. Either it works or it doesn’t unless there’s something damaged. EA sucks so I’m not surprised you couldn’t charge. I’ve been having a lot of troubles with unreliable CCS...
It’s interesting that Tesla’s official solution for the Model S includes a wiring harness. I wonder if the Model 3’s official solution will be anything like FalconFour’s bundle of wires method. If it’s electrically the same with the same gen 4 charge port controller upgrade and no board...
Tesla made sure their cars can connect to cellular across Canada and USA. Canadian-based vehicles are provisioned on Telus and roam on AT&T & T-Mobile in the US. US-based vehicles are on AT&T and roam on Rogers, Telus or Bell in Canada.
It's a shame these chargers are only 72kW. They are quite expensive to charge on and usually quite full. I hope Tesla puts in a 250kW charger in this area one day.
I drive a lot simply because I enjoy it. In the past two years I've driven more than 60,000 KM. With today's gas prices that would be over $12k in fuel in a medium-sized sedan. Luckily Teslas only take electricity so I've spent less than $2000 so far on energy.
For me the energy costs do matter...
So before the price hike on March 2, 2022, I was paying ~$13 to charge my Model 3 to 90%. Now the same charging session costs ~$27. What gives? Since it's cold right now, I can only get about 250 KM of real-world range. That means I'm paying $10.8 per 100 KM. There are also parasitic losses due...
Is the sound kinda like a clicking noise? That's the problem I'm having. I wouldn't describe it as a popping sound. Also got my control arms replaced recently. I can only hear the clicking when I have my windows down and I'm accelerating or decelerating.
V3 Superchargers actually go up to 631A and Model 3 can accept it briefly. Not much indication of what these stalls can do in the future but it’s more likely that Cybertruck will just have a flatter curve to take advantage of 250KW charging.
Like someone else said, you should definitely use A Better Route Planner (ABRP). Your consumption seems very good for 4 people in the car at 10C and high speeds. Everything you described seems to be normal. Unfortunately consumption is really high when you are travelling at 130km/h. You can...
It seems the correct instructions for using the adapter are here:
Make sure the adapter is charged (use the micro USB port underneath the adapter to charge it overnight)
Turn the adapter on
Plug in CCS1 plug to adapter
Plug in adapter to Tesla and then press the power button on the adapter...
Does anyone else have a problem where they cancelled their order because of the rebate being cancelled but only receiving a $1000 cheque? I thought Tesla offered a full refund including the order deposit.
