Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
The small handful of MCU1 cars that got beta had it disabled a few weeks later because it didn't work. Currently there are no MCU 1 cars running FSD. MCU 1 is not compatible with FSD The service center is correct. The question remains if Tesla is going to do as promised and upgrade the MCU ,at...
That is the dirty little secret. MCU1 does not appear to be compatible with FSD. I am unaware of any MCU1 vehicle that is running FSD. I've been waiting 1.5 years since Tesla said that FSDb was available to anyone who had paid for FSD and I opted in. All upgrades have been done and still no FSD.
Before you pay for another alignment have the torque checked on all nuts and bolts in the front suspension. I had two alignments done, one by the Tesla service center and the other by an independent shop only to find out that almost all the lower ball joints were loose and yet both places had...
I had this feature on a Hyundai Sonata and it became a real PITA. It would open the trunk when I didn't want it to and I had to check to make sure the trunk hadn't opened. It was nice when that feature broke.
Tesla is about out of road to kick the can down. They have repeatedly said that MCU has nothing to do with FSD so they won't upgrade it. My car with MCU 1 Has never received any version of FSDb. Well FSD is no longer Beta and Tesla states that V12.x is available to all FSD capable cars. It's...
On the model y it's just a steel fender. It doesn't look like you've creased any body lines so any competent body shop should be able to do the job. You are going to need the area repainted so look for someone whose good at color matching. good luck.
You need to remove the airbag again and reseat the left plug. Also check that the horn mechanism is properly installed in the yoke and that no wires are keeping it from being depressed. Try and honk the horn with the airbag removed. Hope this helps.
The real solution to the phone problem that no one wants to address is to require all phone manufacturers to install software that if the phone is moving more than 5 mph it can only dial 911 and does not send or receive any other transmission.
Just like ICE vehicle fires just because the press doesn't report on them doesn't mean that they didn't happen. Just because the press doesn't report ICE cold weather problems doesn't mean they don't exist.
Are these all " at fault " mishaps that we're talking about? Teslas get crashed into alot and that has little to do with the car itself. If it's not an " at fault " mishap it has to do with the other driver such as rear ending the Tesla or running a red light and T boning the Tesla.
Welcome to the club. Currently there is no one with MCU 1 that has received FSD beta. The hand full that received it back in 2022 had it pulled about three weeks later. It looks like contrary to Teslas position that MCU has nothing to do with FSD, The MCU 1 is incompatible with the current FSD beta.
There are a some people who have no business owning an electric car at this time. If you can't preheat your battery you can't supercharge at these temps.
It doesn't matter what drive train you have ICE, electric or other, the faster you drive the more energy you use and the less range you have. Basic physics. Welcome to reality. Even the cybertruck can't change that.
There is the matter of being told by the company that the cars had all equipment for FSD and if it turned out that they didn't the equipment would be up graded at no cost until they were compatible with FSD. A year ago the company stated that FSD Beta was available to all owners who had paid for...
Yes with the new software it's trying to have you set up the phone as a key. Go ahead and set up the phone as a key in the app then go into the app setting and turn that selection off if you don't use your phone as a key.
Welcome to reality. Any recycling ended when the Chinese economy went south and they decided they no longer wanted our trash. As you found out it is not economical.
Try painless dent repair. From my experience they can work magic and are much cheaper than having body work done by a shop. The dents that I have had removed, you can't tell they ever happened
Tesla is correct in their position. During the manufacture of the Model 3 a change was made to close off the mesh opening in the shelf between the rear seat and the trunk. The fact that one is not closed off is not a defect but rather a different design. If you choose to update the vehicle to...
I believe it was the VCfront 552- condition detected with the controller. It cost around $800 to fix. I was still able to drive the car to the SC. Hope that helps.
Hope yours' is different. I just had my vcfront module replaced on my 18 Model 3 because it turned out to be bad. My 12 volt was only a couple of months old. Good luck.
Might want them to recheck that. The current info and my own quote is that the kit itself , which includes the adapter, is $450.00 and labor and tax will be added to that. So about $540.
